Don’t know the legality of it all but maybe W3C will implement their own balance patches? Blizzard surely won’t care since they abandoned the game lol
I for one would support the project and gladly donate some coins

You mean make their own warcraft 3 games with cds and help blizzard hide their failour?
W3C operates through the Blizzard engine. I wonder if they will implement their own balance changes if Blizzard abandons the game which seems to be the case.
The W3C community is very active and during peak hours has upward of 1,000 players and they’re all pretty competitive players. Also, the W3C player base is policed far better than Blizzard has ever policed player base…hackers, excessive trash talk, etc. are all banned.
They have a great community and I would financially support them if they decided to release regular patches.
bruh, if they have only 1000 players ofc its easy to moderate. Blizzard has to deal with tens of thousands of players (not in W3 since its dead game but in general)
i think balance patches would require to be implemented in the melee maps themselves - that means download a whole new set of maps for each “patch”.
its doable, but its not convenient for the developers nor players.
I guess that is about the fact that it is community moderated rather than corporate moderated. They want to keep the good players not the money wasters.
When Blizzard didn’t have to lurk on micrograbbings it was good too…
