About post launch and about terrain!

I have a feeling a lot of the stuff we are asking for like UI changes, terrain fixes will come post launch with the bug fix and optimization patches.

Also was it true that the 2018 demo had shaders or ambient occulusion in the grass and the current beta doesn’t have tht?

Do you guys think terrain will change by release? Post release? (Maybe even texture pack) or will there be no changes and we’re gonna have to rely on third party mods?

I think that terrain and trees will not improve because the engine cannot handle them and drops the performance significantly.

nope, the terrain will be crap lie this, first of all understand Blizzard is a company with lot of money, they don;t care they are rude and never listens to feedback. on top of that they are extremely adamant. They are not going to make any changes, you will get what you see now then the game will get few updates in the following years.

The engine can handle, but they won’t do

A texture pack would be kinda insulting to the majority of people.

I believe that if it can’t be solved by shaders or the ambient occlusion and foliage then nothings gonna change. We are going to need third party mods to make terrain look good.

So your gonna have the remove some of your files for the game for better ones made by the community. Actually im kind of looking forward to tht.

How do you know the engine can handle it without major changes? Why wouldn’t they do it in the first place if it could.

Because Blizzard has set a deadline, and that deadline will be met even if the game is crap. And What can’t the engine handle? Most of the problems of the terrain and the trees are texture problems meaning all it needs is the texture to be edited to become a bit more realistic and that’s it. Is that all they can do? - No, but its the bare minimum, and yet they’re probably not gonna do it

first of all they had all the time, they should do it period. I am not here to empathize with devs, I am here to pay and play a quality product. I need what I was advertised . If I was told they can do this at 2018, I payed for that. I need that.

This is the end of it, I don’t need to know what difficulty devs are going, I also face issues in my job. Every job has its pros and cons, but if you tell customer they can deliver this and then take money. You need to give the customers that promise.

Stop begin such a pussy cat and grow some backbone, Blizzard ain’t your friend, Blizzard is company that needs to make money. Devs are not your friends, unless you know them personally or something or is a relative of yours.

I am also a working person in another industry, I pay money from that job for this , I need what I was told and shown. No more comprise or oh poor devs thing.

I see no reason to believe that there will be any substantial improvements after launch. Blizzard pulled the plug on this game, cut campaign content, cut voice lines, cut new campaign cinematics. This “beta” is the worst beta that blizzard has ever released since I have seen (SC2 beta).

Reforged reeks of mismanagement. The game isn’t even released and the Art director Brian Sousa already quit. There has been 0 communication for most of the developement and only minimal info in patchnotes. You should not expect anything out of this game.

Remember how terrain and trees were way better at blizzcon 2018? But I remember that the demo performance was terrible. They had already done it and roll it back because of perm reasons. There are plenty of people complaining in other threads about fps drop when they are around more trees even with bad trees and terrain.

The terrain in Demo was flat and was just high rez, the current thign killing it is the crappy 3D gras with 0 shadows,

I feel like the player base is also at fault.

Alot of us voiced that we wanted more visibility etc.

Idk it seems that third party mods will be the way forward.

I see no reason to pay 30€ for a graphics update that makes the game look worse.
