4vs4 AT only finding other AT is nonsense

It would make sense if the playerbase is big, but some days you can search for a game for 1 hour and will not find any game. Let me ask you this, would you like to wait for 1 hour to play any gamemode in any game and if you find a match it would be so random that you get a top 3 players in the game or worst 3 players in the game I think you would not be so much happy. AT against RT should have some adjustments in searching to make it more fair. Go and look how many 4v4 AT teams are in a game, its 46 teams and 20 of those teams played 5 matches in 3 months when the patch 2.0 was released. So how often would 4v4 RT play against 4v4 AT even. There are not enough AT in the game to support AT vs AT only. The situation in 3v3 AT is a little better, there are around 600 teams but 400 teams played max 10 games in 3 months
 For the full-noobs, grievers, etc. on RT teams they will continue to play even if they play against AT there is no much difference really. I am not saying this to play against RT team full of noobs so I would win against them, for me there is no enjoyment in that. We manage to play as a AT against some very bad players 3 times in a row and I didnt enjoy any of the matches because they were really bad (nothing against new or noob players, its good that this game that is 22 years old has such players). And for those that say: “Oh play then 1v1 or 2v2 or a different game”, lol hahahahahahaha what a stupid thing to say. I bought this game so I could play any gamemode in the game and enjoy it. Before patch 2.0 we played AT against RT and there were much better matches, of course there were some matches very bad but the waiting time was max 2 minutes, now some days you can®t find any match

Thing is, getting a really bad matchup where you steamroll or get steamrolled isn’t really that much fun for either party. (Well sure, beating the crap out of someone is fun at first but if you are never tested you never learn anything) So you have to decide whether you’re happier with crappier games or longer wait times.

So much text for literally saying: “I don’t care, if the game is fair for other players. I just want to smash random teams with my pre-selected teammates” :joy:

The advantages of an AT team over some RT team are nearly infinite:

  • teammates “know” each other and have mutual trust that everyone in the team does at least have a decent understanding of the game-play
  • they can share unit control
  • they can share resources
  • they can voice-chat on discord
  • they will help each other and TP on time
  • they can previously make an entire strategic game plan (e.g. race and unit selection) and pull on the same string
  • etc.

All that isn’t possible or usually happening in a RT team. Therefore, RT teams are doomed to lose every time against any AT team (unless the AT team would be ridiculously super bad).
It was absurd that AT vs. RT was allowed in the first place.

Btw, I already know this whining about the deactivation of AT vs RT mode from a lot of sad clowns who farmed the ladder with decent teammates to inflate their MMR up to 9999/10k and their Win/loss stats over 90+% by abusing the matchmaking system with their purchased 0 MMR loser accounts.
Back then, they were proudly bragging with their “achievements” (LOL!). Now, I face them alone and crush them in RT games. They play ridiculously bad or even lose it completely and start to TK their RT teammates or immediately early leave
truly pathetic, but always a good laugh :smile:

And concerning this:

Dude, you bought a 22 year old (!) game for 30$ knowing that it has a small player base. And what you bought is the possibility of using one of many features in the game, IF certain conditions coincide. Namely: the number of players playing. There was never a guarantee that you can play 4v4 AT matches with 1 min. search time. No game publisher can guarantee you that. That would be ludacris.

Anyway, may I ask you, what your Battle.net tag is? Because I couldn’t find you in the 4v4 AT list with ‘miman7’

The thing is in 3v3 AT you get very long waiting times and bad games (if you even get lucky to find a game). I would not mind if I waited for 10 minutes to find a match if the match is good.

You cant find me on 4v4 AT because I never found a game, we tried numerous times. I never said I wanted to smash random teams. I said that I want to play against other people with my friends. I dont have any fun beating players that are noobs and dont know how to play, again I have nothing against them. The things you have listed can be used in RT if you have normal players, you talk like every AT team is formed with pro players and that RT is always formed with noobs and griefers and there is no chance for RT to beat AT. If the matchmaking is working like it should they could make RT work against AT. You can look up my score on 3v3 AT, we manage to play 31 games since the release of patch 2.0. Before that we manage to play 200 games and I would say at least 100 games were fair matches. In this 31 games we played we had maybe 10 good games.

well that just illustrates the tradeoffs some are willing to make and not others. some ppl just wanna play, even if the games aren’t great, while others are willing to wait longer for better matching. an opt in/out could work but I dunno.

i dont care about RT vs AT. i just wanted to play games within 1 min search. its stupid to keep waiting and just for fairness? common. people want to have fun. some AT arent good either, we are just inviting new friends and introduce them the game and we arent able to play at all. how many times and chance you’ll find vs good AT team? almost 10% chance. and the 90% chance are playable. struggling vs good player or not isnt a problem, WE WANT TO PLAY GAME . lose or not it doesnt matter. ffs.

please BLIZZARD rollback to what it used to be. now i cant invite any new friends to play with me because none of them are good. some only average. we AT is just to have fun with friends. its not about only AT with pro players just for the wins

if we do as what you suggest then there will be no more games in 3s 4s and people will not play. you we need more games. not about all these!!

i prefer more games with less search times
 i dont care about MMR or who are playing against. common the game is pretty damn old and its already dead. if those guys losers keep complaining their lack of skills cant beat the opponent. then play better or wait the next match for new chance. its competitive games and its supposed to be challenging. its not tetris game!!!

Well if you aren’t in an AT, the wait times should be low (and usually are, in my experience). The problem is people with ATs cannot find games because the game won’t match them with RTs anymore. That’s the whole issue. Wait times for solo players might increase a little bit if those AT players decline to play solo.

No AT vs RT = better games, longer wait times for some people
Yes AT vs RT = less wait times for everyone, but worse games

So everyone needs to decide which is more important to them. Problem is, people tend to only post when they have complaints, so the people who hated AT vs RT aren’t posting, while the people who play as ATs are here complaining because of the long queue times.

I’d argue no AT vs RT is probably better, because when we did have it, leave rates were even higher than they are now because many people would just leave instantly if they saw an AT at the loading screen.

AT vs RT. i dont really care. i just wanna play with my friends! not all AT are good players. my AT allies are average or below average. so how can i introduce my friends to play game with me as a newbie while we cant play together and do we expect to keep losing as ATs (with noob friends in team)? we just want to play game. dont really care win or lose. 3s 4s is DEAD. its like you are going to play by yourself in all 3s RT 4s RT and then what’s the point of having fun with friend??

So stop, because nobody except the AT players want AT vs RT. come with a god advise/idé. How AT vs RT can play. Becaue your not care is our care. Im sure that you are that guy if you have xbox in school and the school says if you destroy the controlls we will nto by more. and you are in your last year of school. im 100 % sure you that type guy that one the last year or month you can destroy the controll. Because you dont think about other people that is behinde you that havent start the school. because as long you feel good and you tok your anger from brake controll thats what matters.

But maby to day you learn something from sombody now. You will learn that its ther people then you and that is other people after you that want to play the game.

you are the selfish one. because you care so much of the losing than to simply enjoy the game. you make everyone else who are just normal 40-50% win rate players unable to play with friends in AT. and when they do. they lose every game in AT vs AT. there’s no more fun in this game for 3s 4s. only 2s is allowed to play RT vs AT. if you are so AFRAID of losing. go play 1v1. or go play single player campaign.
