4 hours of reforged cutscenes are removed

Hello, I just did the culling, the cutscenes in there, looked NOTHING like the ones we saw at the reveal, Arthas was even awesome and grabbing his hammer looking like he was breathing heavily, but what I got was Arthas standing straight as a stick, with his hammer at his side, what the hell is this? How do I request a Refund?

Blizzard scammed us….this was false advertising!

First of all, no. That is not false advertising in any legal sense.
Yes, it is scummy though.

How is it not? There are no new cutscenes and the campaign hasn´t been touched as well….

Show me where they advertised in official writing on the released copy that there will be extended cut scenes never before seen in the original game…

It was a tech demo that literally stated ‘this is not the finished product and things are subject to change’.

The cutscenes are reforged since they use reforged models. That’s enough, you can’t say it’s a scam. They never said “they will all look like the culling”, just “they will be reforged”.
It’s sad but we all knew that’s was coming.

People are disappointed and want a refund. This isn’t a legal complaint.

lol, I can see the people who cried for MONTHS demanding the game shouldn’t be changed in any way but graphically doing one of these >.> V.V. Just like retail WoW, Blizzard only messed up by giving a vocal population exactly what they wanted.

Except you are misleading people just like Blizzard. You are referring to reforged visuals. People are talking about the campaign by definition then what is this “4 hours of reforged cutscenes” that they had promised? if they’re barely to no different from vanilla WC3? It’s like taking a rusty 20 year old knife, hiding it in a sheath and advertising it as new aka “reforged”

Ding Ding Ding give this man a prize, he hit the nail on the head

If it’s not false advertising in any legal sense it definitely should be.

Actually not true in sense that all cutscenes have the character models talking and showing small hand gestures (I know its not much, but its there) + some of the cutscenes like Arthas killing Mal’ganis are pretty much entirely redone compared to old ones. Also some of the campaign maps that they promised to remake (Stratholme, Dalaran and Silvermoon mainly) WERE redone and Assault on Silvermoon especially is completely different map compared to the original.

So while their marketing isnt accurate by any means its not 100% false either.

Fun part is, they still use the tech demo of the culling cutscene to advertise the product, while the final product is nowhere near it:

Look @ playwarcraft3. com

True, but again look at what it reads on the actual Culling Trailer:

“WORK IN PROGRESS - ART AND EFFECTS NOT FINAL”

But I do agree that Blizzard/Reforged team SHOULD have come up with some kind video before the release talking exactly what was removed/what to expect from the game, cause even though they DID talk about these things in Blizzcon, from marketing/communcations perspective it would have been the right thing to do to upload a video before the release to talk about what was scrapped, what new things are included in game and so on…that way they could have avoided much of this backlash if they had been as transparent as possible about it.

Here. “4+ hour of reforged in-game cutscene” - ht t ps://i.imgur.com/DQluGac.png

They just released the tech demo from 2017 on accident. No biggie. I heard they will upload the real game with all the cutscenes tonight.

Coincidentally also when the refund tool is no longer allowed, I think not, I will buy it again if I feel they have fixed the cutscenes, but otherwise my refund request sticks.
