This was removed before at vs rt was removed entirely. It’s still an advantage.
And yet 2s AT vs 2s RT is still possible, which is more of an advantage than vs 3s or 4s RT. Why do you constantly defend this nonsense?
- I’m not defending anything, I’m simply stating a fact for informational purposes.
- I’d argue pairs (especially two pairs) is still a big advantage in a 4v4 game. I don’t know why they left it in 2v2, you’d have to ask them. I can only guess that maybe most of the complaints came from 4v4 and 3v3 players.
I’m not “constantly defending” anything. I’m not defending this, I’m just stating facts. They did this because this. I’m not saying I think it’s a good thing. Could you please quote where I said I agreed with it? You’re just looking for any excuse to tear me down because POST COUNT!
Explaining why someone did something is not an endorsement of the thing they did. _
That being said, this is a massively controversial issue, some people want the AT vs RT and some don’t, and it’s very evident by multiple posts from multiple users from both angles in this thread- yet, you’re only picking on me. Why?
People complained about AT vs RT being a thing on this forum constantly for YEARS. Then they finally remove it (mostly), and now people want it back, becuase they can’t find games. Even I was telling everyone multiple times that this was going to happen, and it did. Lol. Search the forum, search my posts, do your research instead of making false accusations.
Literally everyone was asking for AT vs RT to be removed. I myself cautioned that this would lead to long wait times and asked people if they were going to be okay with it, most said yes.
Now, AT vs RT is removed, and everyone’s complaining that it’s gone because, SURPRISE! Queue times increased drastically!
I’m not taking a side here: But you guys all need to make up your minds: Do you want better games but long queue times for AT players? Or do you want crappy games with less wait times? Because those are basically your options.
That’s the opposite logic.
If you have 1 bad player in a 4v4, say he’s completely afk and doesn’t play, you lose 25% of your possible army. If you have 1 bad player in a 2v2 who goes afk and doesn’t play, you have lost 50% of your possible army. Skill level is more influential the smaller the player count.

That’s the opposite logic.
Except what you describe isn’t a proper analogy to the situation. Someone being AFK has little to do with how much of an advantage being on an AT is. This is about people who know each other being able to better cooperate and coordnate- a natural advantage, not an artificial one created by somebody going AFK or doing something stupid.
The gap between two teams - playing normally - where one is an AT and the other is not, is going to be smaller with smaller team sizes. There is less potential advantage to gain from two people cooperating optimally than four people cooperating optimally.
You don’t have the resume to speak on what an advantage is in this game.
I don’t need a resume to speak on what an advantage is in this game. This is a basic, abstract concept that can be applied to any game with teams of equal size.
This is game theory, and doesn’t require any expertise on Warcraft III itself, so your base attempt to insult me falls flat.
If it’s basic then why did you fail to understand it.
I didn’t fail to understand it, you did.
Oh, is it I’m rubber and you’re glue? “Game Theory” you mean when I broke it down into statistics you needed to promote it to game theory?
Like I said, basic concepts that could be applied to any such game.
This is aside from the fact that you don’t have to be skillful at the game to understand how it works.
If you understood how it works, you wouldn’t be so poor at it.
For a real life example, ready? If you’re on my team on a game in 2’s. That means I have to carry you because you’re bad at the game. That means I could be up to a 50% disadvantage. If you’re in a 4’s game with me, because you’re bad, I might only have to carry a 25% disadvantage. Statistics Cap.
Post less, go study statistics.
There isn’t a direct correlation between understanding and skill.
I suck at mechanical skill in the game, i.e. micro, and I also sometimes make game decisions contrary to good strategy on purpose, such as using a particular hero just because I like that hero and not becuase it’s most optimal.
You do not need to be skilled at a game to understand how it works, and understanding how it works does not automatically make you skilled.
This just shows how little you actually know about these things lol.
Being good at the game is vastly, vastly more than simply having knowledge of its mechanics, units, etc.
And being forced to talk to you in 2’s on discord wouldn’t make you suck any less.
If anyone would talk to you, maybe you’d get to experience that it’s not a huge advantage.
These comments are solely inflammatory and are not conducive to a civilized conversation, so I will just let you keep posting irrelevance and let everyone judge you accordingly.
Pro’s don’t use discord. Sometimes don’t speak the same language.
