I don’t think there’s budget for that until the game is finished being developed, honestly.
Budget cant be a problem for blizzard, they already have a server here in São Paulo for d3,overwatch,starcraft 2. they only need to create a new instance for warcraft 3, cant be more easy than that.

Remember when they used to tell us that the issue in SA was the horrible routing and thus having servers south from Mexico was simply not feasable?
When League of Legends opened their SA servers and people started playing with <40 ms every single gamer realized every company had been lying for years and simply didn’t want to spend in the South American market. They just remain silent about it now and avoid the subject all together.
Other day i saw two popular streamers just leaving their games just after start because they were with 120 ms, while it we in South America have to pay tunneling services to have maybe 200-250 ms(with lucky playing versus USA players). Sad but true.

Please Blizzard make it even an optional server for us in South America to be able to play, at least with each other.
And if you don’t have enough players, we migrate to the server in the USA, but give us that option.
On Friday we had a championship worth U $ 100.00 but with the 250ms ping it is difficult to play at a high level.

Same with Oceania. We can’t have anything OCE based that isn’t played on the US servers because of the changes to hosting. It’s an absolute joke. ESL talks about tournaments, they wanted to host a Dreamhack in Australia before Covid-19 and yet this is how we’re treated?

Still waiting for the aussie server. The fact they don’t even comment on it is pretty disgusting tbh.
I’m also waiting the day they add regional servers to buy and play Reforged again. PLEASE Blizzard make it happen. I’m sure a lot of players will return to the game with this feature. Playing with 200-300ms is not an option for most of us.
