I’m getting a little tired of SC2 and was thinking of trying this game but the thought of playing without a ranked ladder and matchmaking is a no go for me.
I suggest playing the free version for a few weeks before you purchase and jump into the Ladder, this game can be very hard for SC2 players.

I played it back in the day so I know what I’m getting into. Plus I would find it too frustrating or boring to find customs or play vs AI.
