This must be a joke, is the gaming community supposed to support itself??? is there no one who has the ability to understand the problem being reported and can bring it to the attention of someone at Bnet?
If using the forums, yes.
A support ticket is where those people are.
Both of which I stated in the post you replied to, RoMpeMueLAs.
Since when? The forum guideline post clearly says, “This forum exists to provide StarCraft Remastered players a place to discuss technical issues with each other and Blizzard Tech Support staff members. Blizzard Tech Support staff regularly monitors and replies to this forum (between 8am-8pm Pacific, weekdays) and will do their best to assist you with your issue.”
Sadly the answers from the support team related to my ticket seem to be pretty generic, check requirements, close other apps, keep everything updated…but none of this works. The issue to me it’s pretty clear the BrowserProxy together with the browser engine that is used for render menus are the BIG issues on M.x apple chips.
Did you link them to this thread?
Yes totally! I posted the link of this thread in the ticket.
Since the Microsoft layoffs. There aren’t TS forum agents watching the TS forums anymore. The pinned threads are obsolete.
LOL if you want pinned threads to be considered “obsolete” then you need to remove them. You have that ability. Until then we will hold you to account.
I don’t. MVPs have the same forum abilities as the rest of the player community. We are not employees.
That’s certainly your prerogative, but it doesn’t change the reality I initially presented above.
I bought a M2 Mac Mini hoping that it would have enough firepower to overcome this issue compared to my M1 Air. No luck. Same problem.
As @MintRhino mentioned above, the problem is with BrowserProxy.
I tried removing that component and creating a symlink that would substitute WebKit for BrowserProxy, but that broke my install badly. Had to reinstall.
I also tried limiting the CPU that BrowserProxy can use, but to no avail. The browser hardware acceleration checkbox isn’t a solution.
Hopefully Blizzard will chime in. Surely they’ve had to make some updates to ensure compatibility with Apple Silicon. Unless they want to box Mac users completely out of SC:R, they have to fix this! The games are fine, it’s just the bnet functionality that loads content from the network, so I imagine they can fix this bug without getting into the deeper game code.
that’s exactly happening to my Mac m2 too its been over half a year. they don’t fix it. don’t expect anyone from Blizzard to support to this game
My friend and I are having this issue on our M1 MacBook Pros. Changing browser acceleration did not help.
Bump. Blizzard, please fix this immediately.

blizzard doenst care about this game anymore
I require them to care!
I didn’t think Blizzard cared about Diablo III any more, but they made an Apple Silicon-native version of that game. I’m hopeful that MS is working on a Mac version of Game Pass, which would necessitate Mac-native games that run well on Apple Silicon hardware. Since SC/SC2 have made their way to Game Pass, my hope (however unfounded) is that MS will also have Apple Silicon versions of these games soon.
Unfortunately the Apple Silicon version of D3 is kind of a mess and very crash-prone. So maybe I should be careful what I wish for.
Blizzard,
We beg for a fix. Please! <3
