As others have pointed out, changing the region (the globe icon in the bottom left corner of the selected game window of the battle.net launcher next to the play button) from ‘Europe’ to ‘Americas’ seems to work so far.
I distinctly remember having some talk either with a Blizzard developer or another player years ago about how the intention was to get rid of the gateways and/or the battle.net app regions and combine them all into one but how they wouldn’t until they have remade/remastered all of the classic Blizzard games that you can play over legacy battle.net. Maybe some day… (Now that the ball at least is probably in Microsoft’s court)
It worked for me, thanks, I tryed everything before this solution, but never thought to set “America” as main region (I live in Europe)…
