Single player game speed slowdown by itself

SOLUTION: there’s an unmentioned key binding that’s not shown in the game’s hotkeys menu + or - that speeds up or slows down game speed in single player.

Whenever I play campaign on Starcraft 1 or Brood War (both on SC remastered) or single player custom games versus AI on BW, then the game speed sometimes slows down by itself. The game drops down to the 5/7 or 6/7 game speed setting seemingly randomly. I have to go into the menu and turn game speed back to fastest after this glitch.

It cannot be down to my PC not being powerful enough because I have a i7 12700k, RTX 3070, 32GB RAM and 850W power supply, Windows 10, no CPU or GPU throttling at all.

Anyone else experience the same thing with the game speed slowing down to 5/7 or 6/7 speed setting whenever you’re playing campaign or custom games VS AI?

In a single player games hitting + or - will change the game speed. Probably accidentally hitting " - ". Can just spam + to bring it back up to fastest in game

Oh wow so that’s what’s causing it. The hotkeys menu doesn’t show there’s a game speed increase/decrease binding so I’ve been hitting it accidently all along, I even checked the key bindings before making this thread.
