How do I install turrets on the map in the Starcraft: Brood war campaign editor so that turrets pop out of the ground and attack the player when he enters a certain location?

“Set Doodad State” but you’ll have to rely on either a guide or trial and error to get it to work as intended.
Miniguns in installation maps only attack enemy players.
Miniguns have player owners like the rest of units. The owner is the selected player at the moment you placed the minigun on the map.
Edit: Incorrect info here ↓
Summary
If you change player while the minigun is selected, it will change owner.
Since the rest of doodads doesn’t have owners, that info is never displayed in StarEdit. After a minigun is placed on the map, there’s no way you can tell which player is the owner. StarEdit doesn’t tell you anywhere.
In Scmdraft you can’t change them like in StarEdit, as they remain for Player 1 by default.
First you have to convert the doodads to terrain. Then go to Sprite selection mode. Select the sprite and open the properties window to change its properties, over there you change the player.
There are no detailed descriptions of how to do this in the manuals. The trial and error method - I tried, tried all possible combinations of triggers - did not work.
I tested them out just now in StarEdit and I’m not having an issue with them.
Triggers aren’t really needed for basic operation. By default, if you place them as owned by the player, they won’t attack the player. And if you place them as owned by the enemy, they will attack the player.
Triggers are only really needed to change their state between activated and deactivated.
What are you trying to do?
I wasn’t able to replicate this in StarEdit.
I placed it as Player 2, selected it, and changed to Player 1. Then saved the game.
In-game it still remained Player 2’s (hostile to Player 1).
I did not understand how to open the properties menu. Maybe it’s a trigger menu?
If you are using StarEdit, no menu is needed.
Up at the top, use the dropdown to select who the turret will belong to, then place the turret(s).
