Where is the single player mode in the multiplayer menu?
When I played “Starcraft” and it’s expansion in high school I noticed that the multiplayer section of the game had single player and that playing there had more advantages.
One of those advantages is being able to assign computer oppenants to your side, very useful if your playing melee against a large number of opponents that keep killing you early in the game but you can take on late game.
Another advantage is having a choice which player you were which was great when playing a custom game where different players had different locations, units, bases, whatever.
The other advantage was custom games played in multiplayer seemed to run better than in the official single player mode. For example games that require “use map settings” and have lots of triggers. Sometimes their triggers don’t work but they did in multiplayer mode.
I tried hosting a game in multiplayer and making it private for just me but I couldn’t change which player I was, why did multiplayer change? Wasn’t things fine the way they were? Also I had to actually go online to do this, wasn’t there an offline version of this?
