Launcher, windows, and drivers are all up to date. Using the shortcut doesn’t work. OneDrive is uninstalled. I click play and an error message comes up that something happened with no useful information. I’ve probably sent 50 crash reports at this point.
Hey LordKnox,
Uninstalling OneDrive doesn’t deactivate its effects. Instead, the Starcraft folder (inside the Documents folder) has to be unsynced from OneDrive. If that doesn’t work, you can try unsyncing the entire Documents folder itself.
The link states you can’t unsync the documents folder. And it’s grayed out in the options. All I can do is keep onedrive from launching but I can’t tell it not to sync that folder. I’m not aware of any other options to disable that folder from syncing other than keeping onedrive off.
Did it allow you to unsync the Starcraft folder itself?
Completely disabling OneDrive is an option. That’s what I do. It just has to actually be disabled (everything unsynced). Purely uninstalling won’t disable the syncing.
Finally gave things another shot. I didn’t find a way to disable the folder, but for some reason OneDrive had indeed reenabled itself (I disable it because it messes with stuff). Must have been a Windows update at some point. In any event I logged out of it and it’s completely off this time and the game works. Thanks for your help, I wouldn’t have assumed it would be messing with stuff despite never actually running, but it sure was.
