Excessive GPU-usage/fan-usage on modern laptop

I have free version of SC remastered.
I have 2019 ACER NITRO gaming laptop with 4GB NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX 1050.
This 20 year old game is (frustratingly) giving my PC high GPU usages via task manager and causing the fan to be very loud.
The fan can be just as loud as playing modern games on max graphics.
I want to minimize the fan because it indicate wear and tear.
Many other games even only 10years old cause almost zero fan noise.

I have capped fps to a 100 and it helped a lot, reducing GPU usage from ~45% to ~20% and greatly reduced fan noise.
I turned on vysnc and not sure if made a difference.

I always in windows fullscreen, and going to fullscreen makes GPU usage go to ~100%, even with fps cap on.

I have the real time lighting setting turned off.

I play the game in windowed full screen, but going to fullscreen makes GPU usage to go to ~100%.

In comparison, age of empires 2 definitive edition on max settings has 40%GPU usage and quiet fan.

Pleas help. idk is game using integrated graphics and not main video card?

Hello,

thank you for your post, I have the same issues with my HP Omen with the same grafics card. It is always loud. I just think the 1050 isnt a very good or strong card in comparison to 1060 or even 1070. Its a budget card not more or less.

How does your card react with other games? Or is it just noisy when you are playing starcraft?

Best wishes,
