Error is in the title. I have observed this multiple times now, and the crash is as SOON as I send my first message out from the IM while alt-tabbed.
I met this friend in the Asia server, and I cannot see his Chinese characters while in-game either.
My advice would be try running the game windowed-fullscreen, usually helps with issues like this. For the not being able to see the Chinese characters, my guess is if you have the English version installed it may not have the localisation for the unicode text of Chinese characters. A possible solution might be to install the Chinese Localisation patch and then possibly revert back to English. (or keep in Chinese if you can read it, I’ve noticed with people using the game in Korean usually English text will always appear.) (not 100% on the ladder issue)
