Change the game language

Hello! I have a game in Russian. But I want the old unit voice acting. When I select the option “Select the old voice acting of 1998” from the menu, my game completely changes the language to English. Everything - both text and voice acting. And I just wanted the old voice acting. Is this how it should be?

Hey, Arsenal! Russian only supports subtitles and there is no voice available in Russian for Starcraft. It’s a bit odd that the game changes it to English though. I couldn’t replicate this problem.

Are you changing the language settings within the Blizzard Application?

  1. Click Options and select Game Settings .
  2. Select your preferred language from the Text & Spoken Language dropdown under StarCraft.
  3. Click OK on the dialog that displays.
  4. Click Done . The Blizzard Battle.net desktop app will download the language you selected.

After doing so, does it show English or Russian in the settings? A restart of the game client is needed for the changes to take affect.
