So, I open Starcraft and select Expansion. I go to Custom maps and can see all the scenarios, be .scx or .scm. If instead, I select Original I can see the folders, but no map. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Same, I have tried adjusting firewall setting to no avail.

Same thing happened to me too. I was about to continue the Retribution campaign I was working on until that happened. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow or next week I get back to it.

about 36 hours ago all the maps are gone from SC 1, None of the folders have maps. Tech support if you are listening its a real issue!
I have tried 3 different techâs and they just keep sending me worthless knowledgebase links⌠I have reinstalled Windows, wiping my drive and still have the issue so it has to be bug, but no one will acknoledge it as such

I have a second computer which hasnât been online since before the last two updates and it has no problems with maps. With my online computer with the latest patches the maps are missing with starcraft original but are all there with Broodwar expansion

I checked the files you provided, thereâs a few things to try.
First of all, please make sure that everything is up-to-date, we can see recent Windows update error messages and your graphic drivers are 2 years old :
Seems some files are corrupted, please delete the Starcraft folder located in âDocumentsâ. Try to reinstall the game if not done already.
It could be caused by another program. To rule out most of them, please perform the steps of this following article :
Some programs can still cause problems, even when deactivated. To be safe, you should temporarily uninstall your VPN and your anti-virus.
If it persists, weâll need an updated version of your diagnostic files for more troubleshooting :

Iâm sorry to hear that you have some problems to create any games. Seems things improved a bit since last time.
According to the description, itâs possibly a permission issue, it could also be a connection issue but without a new version of your diagnostic files, I was unable to perform any check.
Please check if itâs happening in single player, multiplayer online or multiplayer local. Also please check if itâs only happening with official maps or custom ones.
Some solutions to try :
- uninstall/reinstall the game in a different folder location
- run the game with admin rights (right click on the game shortcut)
- run the game from a new admin session Blizzard Support - Creating a New Administrator Account
Make sure to have performed the steps given previously, temporarily uninstalling the VPN + anti-virus (not just deactivating them).
If itâs still not working, please provide us an updated version of your diagnostic files and screenshots ingame when you experience the problem. Donât forget to check the âdocumentsâ folder (not in the install folder).
You can create a dummy map file (named testfolderX.scm) and place it in the differents maps folders to see if itâs affecting a specific folder or not.

Still no fix. Cmon Blizzard, with the constant updates youâd think they would at least add value to the game not take away the reason I played it. Im pretty sure this isnât anything on any of our machines and it is completely something Blizzard needs to fix on their end.
Same for me. Starcraft did an update yesterday and now all my maps are gone. I wanted to make a new one but the map editor is gone as well.
Itâs really frustrating for me to come back all these years later and not be able to play. What makes it worse is I just bought it, because I have a 3 day weekend and was all ready to get at it. Now no game and out my 16 dollars )=
I am hoping eventually they will get this fixed. To me it is unacceptable for this size of a company and not be able to get this fixed in a timely matter.
The campaign/battle maps are missing from SC1 starting July 17. I logged in, an update ran and all the maps are gone! Tech support can you help?!

Iâm having the same problem, I go to the dir where the maps are installed, and they are there! Also if you browse through the folders (ingame) you can only see your replays at the multiplayer game creator. Is like if the game was filtering out the extensions for the maps.

On further checking the maps are visible with the Brood War expansion just not with Starcraft Original
