I just got my hands on Starcraft Remastered and as much as I anticipated to play that game, unfortunately I encountered a strange bug. There is no sound in briefings. As I recalled original game, I think all the things should be read by characters, but there are none of this in my version. And to be more precise no briefing dialogues and ingame voiceovers, but other than that, everything sounds fine. The is music during missions, and there are dialogs said by the units. In the pictures/files i sent this is where the the bug comes in. I cannot hear any of the characters talking and it feels bad knowing I payed for the remastered version expecting a better experience. I check the Forums but couldn’t find the answer, ctrl-s and ctrl-m do not work hehe.
I am having the same issue. Just put a fresh install of Starcraft Remastered on my laptop and I get all unit acknowledgements, music, and sound effects (the beginning cinematic played with sound) but the adjutant and other characters in the briefing have no sound.
Based on stuff I found online I’m going to try installing additional languages, switching to a different language, and then switching back to English.
I found that switching languages did not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game on my laptop which ended up fixing the issue.
