Zerg sets a record in Grandmaster!

SC2 diehards are radically detached from reality. It’s kinda an iconic part of the SC2 community unfortunately which has greatly affected the game’s popularity. The number of toxic shills who use “learn to play, newb” to cover for tremendously bad game design is just staggering.

LUL, finally BatZ found the deserved friend…
What a duo.

Maybe, just maybe, it’s actually the game designers fault and not a giant conspiracy between tens of thousands of people across the planet to subvert responsibility for losing in a video game.

SC2 conspiracy nuts really are something else.

I have a lot to say about the game-design myself. I don’t like it not a bit.
P.S. By the way, did you read an excellent piece from Paul Craig Roberts yesterday?

The flack is heaviest when the enemy is the most vulnerable. They aren’t lashing out from a position of strength. Even having succeeded in their efforts to steal one they are still shaking in their boots. They know it won’t work again and there is a new enemy on the horizon who received 74 million legitimate votes.

By the way, they had to play many of their cards that can only be used once - all to win once against one man. They will quite likely be destroyed by the impending anti trust litigation and their shiny new president has zero capacity to stop it since it’s a bipartisan class action suit being brought by 48 states. Ideally they would have wanted to save many of those plays for future use and get by with the bare minimum, but DRUMPF was such a huge threat they had to go all in and even having “won” the presidency they are still acting very, very scared.

The word is OVERPOWERED. Get it through your thick skull.

Oh wait no, underneath that skull is a :bird::brain: with a massive EGO.

No, there are plenty of other games where that argument is used, including MOBAs like league of legends.

The main difference is that this game is mostly 1v1. Players cannot deflect blame to teammates when they lose, so they are more likely to blame balance for unfavorable results.

When I played CS:GO devs balanced around pro level too, they checked weapon usage and, maps, a lot of stuff was changed on the maps depending what was happening during tournaments, if someone discovered some imba smoke or some abusable boosting spot it was patched very fast.

You are wrong with this one. Dont defend this garbage. Dont give me the one other game that may do this. There are not plenty of games where this type of balance it tolerated. but I guess. SC players are some of the most delustional. They are the only player base that I ever interacted with that says the game should not be balanced for everyone.

One of my favorite games. MK11 removed features and banned moveS from competitve plaay to make the game balanced. Some players complained about it. Said it make the game unless extreme compared to other player modes. (vanilla) but you know what. It is the unquestionably the best fighting game out there, The most played fighting game out there and 99% of the player base enjoyes it. Compared to what we have here. Where it is balanced for 1% of the player base. And everyone has something negative to say about it. Well after they defend their main race of course.

The better and funnier part is when those clowns lose a mirror (on whatever race), those dumb people still blame balance…

That’s why starcraft is the best RTS e sport, you git gud or you quit.

The best RTS in a genre were there is few competition and even fewer developers that would would think 2 and 3 times over before considering making an RTS game. That is not saying much. Guess what madden is the best football game out as well. You know what most people say that it is trash and wish they had something else to play. Most people say that NFL 2K is the best football game ever and maddend 2008 was the last good madden game. These games came out 15+ years ago when developers cared about their product and put out the best version that they could. Sounds like BW compared to SC2 doesnt it.

Any way peole go on youtube posting and pleading with th dev team to do something better but they dont. yes they continue to play the game becuase they dont have a choice. That same situation applies to RTS fans that want something better. Better isnt coming. You suffer through this or play nothing at all.

Again, examples like LoL and CS:GO prove you wrong.

Balancing for the pro level is the best way to balance a game because other players always have more room to improve.

Most games are team-games though, so the effect of balance itself is diminished by other factors (average player skill, cooperation, where players happen to be, etc) such that players have less reason to complain about balance directly.
Free for alls produce the same effect.

I’d argue that Age of Empires II beats StarCraft II as an RTS, but that game is much easier to balance because it is very symmetrical.

Exceptions to the rule are not the norm. You know this. I’ve played 100s of games through the years. And nearly all of them 99% of them is balanced for everyone and not 1% of its player base.

I am not arguing what balance is or what balance isnt. But how are games balanced for most people. They are balanced for everyone. but not SC2 Its special. but not in a special kind off way.

What are you :clown_face: talking about, those games were infamous for catering to casuals. In csgo it took them years to nerf pistols and ump to reasonable power levels, not to mention the sg/aug buffs that produced the most boring ct meta in history just so cod kids don’t have to learn how to hipfire, or the economy changes to make force-buys more forgiving.

Lol also makes frequent balance changes for the casual level, in their most recent 11.1 patch they explicitly stated they nerfed yi because of casual play.

How many of them have been played competitively by professional players for years?. Pros develop the meta and expose the game strenghts/weaknesses, a game played just by non pros will look balanced because there is no pro or highly polished meta.

I don’t know what are you talking about, so maybe you are referring to other times when I was not playing (I played years ago)

As team game, yes, aoe>>>>>>starcraft, but in 1v1 starcraft are the best RTS.

And that is were you are wrong. Nearly every game with a pro scene is balanced for everyone. I will use MK11 or any fighting game as a comparison. yes there are other genres I can point to wherer there is a pros scene and I can 100% claim that 99% of those games are balanced for everyone to play. and not 1% of the player base

Ppp brian so dense. It warp the space time…
