Of course, now I’m considering what it might be like trying to fix bugs in an unfamiliar code base if literally every developer who worked on it had just left for a new job. Nobody to warn you that changing this variable over here will cause three other things to break over there. That would be nerve-racking to say the least.

And from what I understand, game software tends to be produced under very high pressure, on tight deadlines, and highly optimized, which is a recipe for… shall we say… difficult code.

At this point, you can only assume and always assume the worst when it comes to activblizz. Ever since a meeting of activblizz so called “company reformation” got leaked, I assumed that all the veterans of sc2 are gone and what is left are all the inexperienced juniors.

You guys can hate on Activision all you want, and I also hate on them a lot in other games, but they have very limited influence on this game. RTS is just not very popular, and especially not one as unforgiving and 1v1-centric as SC2. Even the Devs that moved to Frost Giant already agreed with these critical points.

if anything, I feel like they cutting off the incentive for you people to give Activision money is not a bad thing, because most of you definitely will buy more stuff despite that money most likely not going back into SC franchise.
