Those are just skins; they don’t even do anything. Do they at least shoot guns, lol!

Because SCVs don’t auto heal and if you tried to heal an scv with another scv it would cost minerals. So you would need a medivac to heal scvs which requires a factory followed by a starport.

You say that, but the forums were drowning in the tears of QQers as they demanded blizzard end the joke early.

The awesomeness of the worker on that fateful day was so great that the amount of carnage wrought by the endless onslaught of worker rushes, proxies, and cannon rushes is still remembered by the fateful few who survived that day.

Just imagine if terrans were allowed warhound worker skins now. Protoss and zerg would rage quit games out of sheer jealousy.

Protoss and zerg are always jealous of Terran. They’d probably storm Blizz headquarters and ask for the CEO’s head on a spike if T got warhound units. Typical of whiners man!

You jest (a bit) but its actually true. I was there. Can confirm people rage quit so many times.

People really were angry about it that they decided QQ on the forums. I found it amazing anybody could think such a cool event like that was anything other then awesome.

Weapons should never upgrade workers attack.

I get it you enjoy allinning pulling the boys. But its lame as hell for anyone trying to actually play the game.

it was all TLO wasn’t it?

Hmm I read through this thread.
No one explained why it would be OP to have workers get attack upgrades.
This kinda mystifies me, what scenario are we trying to avoid?

For one thing, it dramatically increases the strength of all-ins that involve “pulling the bois”, and directly encourages doing so. If you pull 50 workers, each of which does 5 damage per attack, they do 250 damage assuming each worker is attacking at least once. With +1 alone, that is now 300 damage, instead of 250. And many workers will attack many more times than just once in an all-in.

And that doesn’t even consider armour values either, since allowing weapon upgrades on workers makes armour less effective against worker pulls.

o… interesting
Didn’t think this would be a concern given how incredibly weak workers are.
I was mostly thinking if a Terran drops me with +2+2 marines then my workers could at least defend themselves with equal upgrades yaknow.
But even then it’s still a terrible trade for the defender.
All-ins tho I have no experience, they are so risky. Any single defensive structure instantly shuts them down on the level I am and people are terrible at hiding their all-ins so I don’t think about them as a threat usually, more of a “O I guess you decided to lose”.

I know why its a bad idea but id be interested in seeing someone being attacked by 3/3 workers :joy:.

Make it a temporary patch or something lol
