So you are saying he is ahead of the curve? Apparently none of these other terran players have eyes, since BCs have been all over TvT in the pro scene for awhile.
Horseshoe theory. He’s so ahead of the curve he ended up behind it.
Tell me all about being a paramedic again. I love that story.
What are you talking about?
And none of the pros have been complaining about how overpowered the Battlecruisers are or calling for nerfs to it. In fact, TY and Gumiho actually said they love the new Battlecruisers and are glad it’s viable now.
Also, in the game between TY and Maru, they showed how Battlecruisers are not invincible and overpowered, especially with clever use of Ravens and liberal use of Vikings.
Let’s make your statement more accurate:
Let me, as a return gesture, point out everything that is wrong with your statement.
Marines have been all over not just TvT, but all matchups in the pro scene. Are they overpowered?
Siege tanks have been all over TvT in the pro scene. Are they overpowered?
Defensive Cyclone has been built in all matchups in the pro scene. Are they overpowered?
Reapers have been built as scouting units in all matchups in the pro scene. Are they overpowered?
Vikings have been all over all machups in the pro scene. Are they overpowered?
Liberators…you get the picture.
Just because a certain unit shows up in TvT in the pro scene almost all the time doesn’t mean they are overpowered. Otherwise, what, should we start nerfing SCVs, Marines, Reapers, Cyclones and siege tanks?
That’s called a straw man, sweetie pie. I didn’t say marines and cyclones are OP, I said BCs are, and the balance team agrees.
They are imbalanced because of what they do to Zerg, and not in Terran versus Terran matchup.
Your initial claim was that Terrans only whine about something if they get hit by it. But nobody was whining about it except the thread starter. And Battlecruisers are certainly not overpowered in Terran versus Terran, unlike your claim about Terrans getting it rammed down their throats.
Should Battlecruisers take a nerf? Yeah. But not for the reason you point out.
Same logic as your disbelief regarding climate change. If you want to disbelieve it because of scientific data and numbers, fine. But if you are claiming that climate change is false, not because scientific data supports it, but because you delude yourself into thinking it’s some left-wing propaganda that’s targeting rich people for some reason (I can tell you’re a right-wing white male who probably voted for Trump or the Republicans), then no…climate change is not false because you think it’s some conspiracy theory cooked up by politicians or activists wanting to drag the rich down with them or deprive you of your modern amenities. Now that’s the definition of ad hominem.
Well, BC can work in TvT but it requires the opponent to go bio or some sort of safe opener with a tank, not cyclones or it requires super late game where you can actually afford the production and get a stupid amount of them. They’re something you either rush ASAP or something you wait until later to get in mass.
They have the highest base armor in the game, can move while shooting, can not only teleport but are the only unit that can teleport into the fog of war with INFINITE range, can 1 click kill high value targets, and be repaired.
They already got nerfed and the habitual whiners are going to whine before the nerf even get released.
I don’t deny that, but that has never been a problem in Terran versus Terran. High value targets? Yay, yamato a Viking here, a Marine there, maybe get that Cyclone! I have plenty more to spare! And then a Raven comes along, hits the recently teleported Battlecruiser with Interference Matrix and the poor thing is helpless as it’s pounded to death by Vikings and Marines/Cyclones. Without being able to shoot back. Not to mention, you probably have 4 Vikings out, and even with a Yamato on one of them, the other three will wreck the Battlecruiser. That’s not even counting Marine or Cyclone support. And that’s not even considering there might be a presence of a Raven. Also not sure how you’re supposed to repair a Battlecruiser if you teleport it right into your opponent’s base. Gonna spend 50 energy to drop a MULE with your Battlecruiser?
It is a problem in Terran versus Zerg, that’s for sure, and thus it deserves the nerf. But Terran versus Terran? Nah.
No one has figured that out for years.
Low-key admitting that terran is so op it literally doesn’t give af about the most op unit that has ever existed.
What the heck?!
Damn right they do, they are the highest tech unit in the Terran tech tree, locked behind a Fusion Core, and cost a bloody 400 minerals and 300 gas to build - even more than a freaking Command Center. They had better have the highest base armor because they are literally the most expensive and highest tech unit in the game!
They needed this, otherwise they got kited by Vikings, Marines, Hydralisks, Blink Stalkers and other fast-moving units with anti-air for days. Maybe it’s amusing to you, but it’s frustrating to see a high tech 400 mineral 300 gas unit get kited to death without being able to fire a shot.
Double-edged sword. Enjoy teleporting your Battlecruiser into spore crawlers and queens, or a missile turret ring with patrolling Vikings, or blink Stalkers with shield batteries.
Which you need to research at the Fusion Core for 150 minerals and 150 gas, and is pretty much useless against cheap units like Marines, maybe Vikings. And the damage has been nerfed. Also, you can’t one-shot Tempests, Brood Lords, Carriers, Thors and other Battlecruisers and other high-value targets.
So you’re gonna drop a MULE right where you teleport your Battlecruiser to, or have a SCV train follow them wherever your armada goes?
You don’t see me complaining about psionic storms or Neural Parasite or Zerg’s infinite free units. All you need is mass Infestors with Neural Parasite researched and you can laugh to death as you control those expensive 400 minerals 300 gas “overpowered” units, have them jump on top of your spore crawlers and Corruptor ball, and kill them before the Neural Parasite ends.
What build do you play?
If you play standard (Factory-CC) you build 2 Cyclones and 1-3 Ravens, and that counters Battle Cruiser rush HARD.
If you say that Raven is OP and being forced (by meta) to open with Ravens is wrong - then you are right of course. Raven IS OP in early game TvT.
And this is bad.
That’s not standard.
2 Hellions than 2 Cyclones.
Or meta changed again?
Usually people just build 1 defensive Cyclone and that’s about it. I think.
