That’s false. EPM is like APM but filters out spam and Zerg has higher EPM. There are other skill metrics other than APM and Protoss is lower in all of them. They move their screen around the map less which is a predictor for multitasking strength. They have worse spending skill. Etc. Protoss is most definitely an easier race to play, and this makes it basically impossible to balance it across a spectrum of skill levels.
It does not, EPM also accounts for some amount of rapid firing. Again all actions are not the same in difficulty, and that is the base issue with your conclusions. Spreading marines for example requires more precision than spreading creep and it can take the same actions

Now, you may be Master but hearing the troll you should be Plat. I guess some Zergs with 800APM that Cobra demolished (using 150APM) they should have been way more skilled than…Serral.
Sorry but when Protoss have lower skill metrics across the board Protoss is just an easier race. You can’t explain this away with rapid-fire abilities like corrosive bile. And there is even an argument to be made that rapid-fire abilities are an important thing to include when measuring the difficulty of a race.
For example if we replaced storm with a weaker version that had to be rapid-fired it would be much harder to properly utilize storm. Instead of having to aim/time 1 click, you’re going to have to aim/time 5 clicks or more. If you think this wouldn’t make storm more difficult, you’re nuts.

Sorry dude but you can’t simply throw conclusions like that, statistics only take you so far. It is not as simple as putting numbers in a blender and see what happens. If that were the case then investigations would be incredibly easy.
Not all things are quantifiable.

Why not? If mediocre players (compared to Seral) like Besty and Winter are able to reach 5000-5500MMR (Gm Level) with 100APM, stands to reason that one of the best SC2 Players in the world can push to 6000+.
His 400APM is required to fight the remaining 6800-7200 MMR Players.
You honestly believe serral can beat semi-pros with 1/3-1/4 of his current apm budget? lol
He didnt say he could beat them. He said Serral could have a 95% win rate, aka pretty much his peak MMR…

I covered it in a previous post kiddo. Too bad you didn’t read it. The variables affecting win-rate are normally distributed and integrated multiplicatively to form your total win-rate.
It would be interesting if such a thing as APM based tournaments could rise. I mean, if you really wanted to make strategy reign supreme, wouldn’t an APM cap be a way to ensure it? Like, if you won a game but didn’t stay under the APM max, it either wouldn’t count as a win for you or maybe even call it a loss.
I want to live in a world without rapid fire and a world where Adonimus forces the world, including me, to respect him enough to learn how to spell his name.
It would be interesting to see if people would just do simple all-ins, if not a player who normally has APM that low.
I think this would be a way to increase the appeal of SC 2 for more people. As is, the game is too tunnel visioned on a select few. Who knows, maybe even Florencio or w/e his name is could win something. Alright, now I’m talking crazy, but just trying to be a hype man here.

I don’t believe that AlphaStar team capped all three races at the same level. If they did, no surprise that Protoss managed to go higher in MMR scale.
