Aren’t Apple devices inferior to everyone else on the hardware side of things?
Tiny battery, 720p display, and the whole thing is slower than even the ultra-cheap Redmi Note 7. Why would anyone waste their money on that?

I like the new forum, totally no idea why these many people don’t like it.

I’ve been accustomed to the new forums since implemented on other games. There’s certainly some pros and cons and things to get used to.

Pros:

  • infinite scrolling but with a back button
    When I duplicated this tab, it showed me a marker on the scroll bar with back on it, you can pick back up where you left off! Pages, while neat does create an artificial stop in the flow of reading. 20 posts per page? 40? eh

  • topic searching
    Click the magnifier up top and check to search this topic. You can find specific words or whatever you recall from a thread.

  • searching actually works now!
    The old Blizz forums were search broken. you couldn’t even search for your own posts at one point. This had to be fixed.

  • thread updates
    you can get updates on stuff easier and pick back up on discussions. Sometimes I know I’d post on a thread, forget about it or not have a way to find it again short of searching my history.

  • formatting
    You can use hotkeys to format text much like you can in Word, and you can even HTML up your posts with Stuff like header font sizes. That’s neat.

Cons:

  • formatting
    Some if not all formatting options are not ctrl + z undo-able. If you ctrl B to drop bold markers (which can be done without a selection), you cannot simply undo the bold drop.
    Also formatting can have unexplained or auto done anomalies and bugs.

  • formatting bugs

  1. when I just had 1 enter between Cons and Formatting, it didn’t format the bullet point like before. I had to use 2 enters.
  2. When I went to the chat bubble to see the hidden HTML code, it jammed the quoted post of the OP into the middle of my post. Very confusing to sort out.

  • post padding
    I feel the spacing between posts and how far text can go in a post left to right is a bit limited, making threads lengthier in a vertical way, which gives way to a lot more scrolling.

It’d definitely be nice if there was a compact forum option, and also if the likes were more noticeable. It’s such a tiny little button now, and blends in with other buttons too much.

I can’t remember how long ago it was when the forum format was changed last time (maybe 3 years ago or something) but everyone threw an absolute fit without expressing exactly why lol

Don’t jinx it. I said that about the StarCraft forums on the Warcraft forums a tiny bit ago, bragging about how these forums still had the likes and dislikes, no hearts and the ability to see threads in one straight line… one week after I stated that, this happened.

I don’t like having HolyTemplar as my name here. I was Mandalorian here. I had a totally different account for this, bit now its all the same.

I don’t know if anyone else noticed or already mentioned but something great is that now free accounts can post on the forums too. It’s great that the forum is not leaving out free accounts and especially the new players who in most cases start with free accounts.

It wasn’t as easy to make an alt account for the old forums, but the old ones had MUCH better layout

And every free account can post spammers can make new accounts…
Huge problem is that there isn’t balance section, when only t1 masters + can post, or even gm only, because every dumb diamonder or even golder post stupid changes in general and clutter, whereas some players which have idea what they are talking about lost in clutter…
