This creates dense clusters of primarily Zerg or Protoss below/above gold league. When your account is in the Zerg cluster band you’d get a MONSTROUS 70% win-rate by smashing a bunch of zergs with warp prisms. You’d be promoted until you started to face primarily protoss opponents, who are of superior skill in PvP (equal to the displacement size), thus creating a 30% win-rate that drops you back into the zerg mmr band.
Stuff like this just doesn’t happen.
