Reynor outplayed Maru game 1

Outplayed? A ling-rav all-in into terran main and lost everything while killing a bunch of scvs is totally not outplaying. He has no tech and terran has a third. What do you expect to happen without lair tech when BCs arrive? It is a failed all-in, and it failed because he got outplayed by Maru. If your understanding of the situtation is purely based on workers count then I think you deserve to think BCs are op.

Even that doesn’t work; Maru spent much of the game ahead on workers.

And there isn’t any problem with terran being able to fast 3 CC, straight tech into battlecruiser and easily deflecting a 3 base all in?

I guess we are ignoring the fact that Maru lost all his scvs in natural now?
That is after Maru immediately scotted the all-in and pulled all his scvs back to main.

Well, because like 75% of Zerg is deciding when to drone and when to commit to attacking, and Raynor far committed to attacking when he should have long ago started droning, that basically means it was a poorly executed attack.

Overall, between the over-commitment to the attack after it already succeeded and the drones lost to hellion counter and the SCVs lost at the nat, we came out of that all-in with both players basically equal, except that Reynor needed to tech for his life. He didn’t even attempt a lair.

Maru outplayed Reynor all over the place in both games, honestly just looked like a skill mismatch to me.

How does a one base terran with dead nat and 20+dead scvs (from nat) have a better eco than 2 base zerg?

Zergs have had issues with BCs for a long time.

I think the easiest nerf to infestor to to disallow infestors (and all spell casters) from spamming infested terrans with ONE click (you can set up keybinds for this).

Try using infestors and spamming infested terrans one click at a time (no matter how fast you click) and all of sudden it’s not that op anymore.

Look at the worker count and tell me.

You can’t mine from a lifted CC. 24 workers is saturated for one base.

Agreed. Warp prism and warp gate have always been the biggest violator of those rules.

If they remove warp gate gateway units will forever be forgotten and it will bring a rise to turtle skytosses. Nothing is wrong with warpgate. most stupid thing ive heard in awhile.

Yes, but the CC can land, and thanks to the hellion/banshee, Maru was able to force his natural clear to re-establish his income.

Because Zerg can’t build drone while building 30 lings for all-in. If terran held all-in and didn’t take too much damage then it is completely recoverable with 3rd CC. Like I said, the only reason Maru held that is because he is outplaying Reynor, not the otherwise. Even he didn’t build BC but 3 banshees he would win as well.

Not really. They have issues with not being greedy af.

During an In-Depth cast, Artosis brought up an interesting point. To balance all the spam, i.e. instant mass IT or corrosive bile, rapid fire should be removed. instead of binding your keys in a certain way and purchasing the correct keyboard, each action would have to be its own. While this change would affect more than just the 2 examples above, it would possibly balance the game by making actions that are almost instant (and therefore feasible) time consuming and therefore less likely to happen. While a mana cost increase may still be needed for IT, it would be an interesting solution.

Removing rapid fire would just make ghosts unusable. They have spell that damages one unit and many units have enough HP to survive it, so you need to que more snipes. Snipe would need to be reworked completely if this change happened, because Ghost micro requiremnts wouldnt allow to control any other part of T army. T army is balanced around more micro than other two already.

Late game infestors isn’t a problem. Don’t listen to the crybabies on these forums. If they liked sc2 they would learn to split micro vs fungal or walk away until infested terrana timed out, but that requires too many brain cells for these people so they defer to crying online as that’s a game they are good at.

Maybe Blizzard should a very serious look at all scenarios that are balanced around rapid fire spell casters.
