What kind of data are you looking for? And why are they “legitimate”?
It’s the exact opposite. Trying to balance around a small number of players is the worst idea possible. Blizzard doesn’t actually think this approach works, they just know people are more swayed by who’s winning trophies rather than actual balance.
Why is that the case?
Because the one of the most basic rules of statistics. The smaller the sample size the less accurate your results.
2019 was a very overrated year for Zerg. A lot of tournaments were won but mostly because Dark performed way better than usual. If you look at the rankings Zergs besides Dark didn’t do any better than usual.

…that’s it. In case somebody tried to argue with this whinny zerg.
Well when T stops of having a greater winrate in TvP than P does and P wins at least a third part of the tournments that T already wins maybe we could start to think about it
Where’s your evidence? You literally have nothing besides Dark winning more tournaments. I know dealing with facts is difficult for people like you but give it a try for once.
Assuming IID, but is it?
Anyways, what’s the statistic you are looking for, and why is that a good indicator?
You do have a point, but are you arguing about the data among these 15 people?
No, I’m just showing the assumption that every Zerg pro was dominating is incorrect.
I do think nydus was busted last year but it’s not something that every player knows how to use that well so it didn’t affect overall balance that much.
Using tehbatzs argument
https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Statistics/2019
Look at the prizepool, almost half of the money went for Z.
Look at the amount of weeklies won by Z.
11 premiers for Z and 3 for P 3 for T
From the top tournaments in terms of prizepool, 2 went for T, 8 for Z.
Again, I don’t care about who won more among the top 15 players in the world.
“I know zerg has suddenly and inexplicably been winning more, but that isnt an indication that zerg has gotten any stronger.”
Want to try again?
“1 Zerg player won more tournaments than usual”
Not a great argument. Want to try again?
Is the joke here supposed to be that it was only one zerg player winning more or something? Or do you just legitimately not want to count all the other zerg wins because they make you look bad?
i am glad the discussion is going well.
I know you have a tough time grasping concepts so I’ll explain it again. Tournament wins don’t mean jack about balance.
Right, they only show imbalance when its protoss or terran winning. When its zerg, its just a coincidence. Everything is perfectly normal here, we need to look elsewhere for our balance data.
Since you jumped straight to a straw man I guess you don’t have a legitimate argument?
