People refuced to play with Stetmann now?

I just finished fully maxing my Stetmann to p3 and I did not have anyone leave the game. (Except for on Scythe of Amon, but in that case I fully understand since I hate that mission myself). I did not know people got angry when you did not stetzone there main thought lol.

So tell me, does p1 do anything at all for Stetlag?

Well yes ofc it does.

It reduces the amount of satellites needed to cover the important parts of the map, less satellites = less stuff clogging the game.

And most importantly it makes satellites invulnerable meaning Amon AI will not be constantly giving attack orders then recalculating paths whenever they encounter a satellite to kill.

I also suspect that since each Satellite is emitting its own aura that affects every allied unit that passes nearby the sheer number of such effects/triggers on the map may also be slowing things down.

Stetmann and Stukov have the biggest negative impact on game performance.
Primarily because SC2 pathing supposedly runs of a single CPU core (or thread?) so having to deal with mass pathing and targeting chokes the game.

Since stetmann satellites are literally glorified creep tumors there is no reason for them to be implemented in a way that causes horrific game issues for many players.

I would never just give up like that. However I think Stetmann is arguably the weakest commander maybe others more willing to just quit feel the same about Stetmann.

No, its because he causes massive lag

Nope, this is just no, he’s amonst the commanders who are mutation-welcome and one of the best mineral dumps in the game, the problem with him is lag and stetlite macro that can be straight up annoying to some players, lag being the most important factor, many stetlites around the map, going over 30 lings, infestors spamming roaches, the sheer ammount of stuff in the map increases lag and it’s a big turn off to play him, it’s not weak army power nor weak stetlite aura, unlike Stukov, most aoe doesn’t kill his army, only mass siege tanks, colossus, reavers and huge ammount of hybrids can really kill Stetmann’s army assuming he’s not prepared for them.

Why is this so? I fail to see this at all.

Because if you can’t play with 1fps, then why stay?

Why ask when you are the cause of their insanity?
Your magic mushroom was too effective for these guys.

Maybe it’s time for Blizzard to consider remaster SC2? Just saying.
And build it with a new engine that favours more CPU cores.

I hate stetman cause his macro is very confusing to me and his “cool units” either come too late or does not have the power punch I need smh. But I rarely feel noticeable lag when playing with stetman (maybe drop to 2-3 FPS momentarily). Usually floats around 15-25 FPS when theres a lot of stuff going on.

Core i5-9300H and GTX 1650 (similar to 1050Ti) with 16GB RAM.

Ehh not sure if you are being sarcastic or not.
Anything below 60FPS is god awful for me.
“Floating” around 20 fps as you say would make me rather not play the game at all.

Not to mention that to get any use out of a 100+MHz monitor you need at least 100+FPS which Stettman and Stukov just make impossible.

SC2 has this weird thing where if your teammate has a weak PC your performance will also be a lot worse.
A friend i play with has a rather weak PC and whenever we are on Dead of Night (or stukov/stettman) the smoothness of my SC2 is A LOT worse than when i play without that friend.

I dont have 120Hz display and RTX2080 paired with Core i9 9900K so I am ok with 30 FPS. 60FPS is definitely better but I am not anticipating that cause GTX1650 is not that powerful, so does Core i5-9300H. Way better than 1-2FPS on my old R7 M265 GPU with i7-5500U though under similar situation.
