Blizzard’s own maps are looked upon pretty poorly. They were relying on the TeamLiquid Map Contest long before game development was halted. The Blizzard logo next to the maps just means that they approved them and maybe touched them up a little.
Going forward, TeamLiquid will be handling the map pools and they’ve made some posts on Reddit and their own forums about what can be expected going forward. Meanwhile, StarCraft Remastered is mostly just copying the ASL map pools with a couple popular maps thrown in.
