That’s Dear’s gameplay, messing up things hard… like typical Protoss would. Yet here we have the trolls starring tehBaitZ to tell us what an UPSET TY win over Dear
I’m very interested as to what you have to say regarding Bomber’s performance then. So Bomber made the mistake of picking Terran, and Armani won because he picked Zerg? And by the same logic, Dear beat Armani TWICE (grand total of 4-0) because Dear picked Protoss and Armani picked Zerg?
That’s what terran players say about terran, but, tell me, where is the skill in mech play? Find it for me. When you can’t come back here and admit that you couldn’t.
The only thing you have to do to play perfectly as Protoss is chronoboost workers. Terran has many more facets to play “perfectly”, and even then you get a-moved nearly immediately.
It is impossible to play perfectly when half of your army’s total HP gets deleted instantly by a cloacked unit, built by the race that already has the most long range and splash damage.
We’re not talking about Ruff here. We’re talking about a prodigy, in TY. A guy who I’m pretty sure was the youngest pro gamer ever in BW.
Mech has always been more strategical based than “skill based.” With unlimited unit groups, every unit clowning on air, and planetary fortresses serving as an additional 200/200 army devoted to base defense… I do think the strategical part of mech should be called into question.
But, at the end of the day, Ruff isn’t in GM atm and Avilo is trying to get mid GM, so things look to be more in line with how things should be than they have been in the past. How they’ve managed to do worse than before… that’s a great feat for sure, though.
Anytime you’re playing against Toss, regardless of the race, it should be easy. But, in short… TY is a genius and Dear never gets to practice against mech. That’s a massive advantage, in itself.
So…how do you explain Bomber? Lost to Armani. Is Zerg incredibly easy to play then? And if Protoss is impossible to play perfectly, then how did Dear beat Armani 4-0? It was totally one-sided in Dear’s favor.
