On ladder its fine but on top level they are indeed OP by any metric.
People on ladder are too slow to abuse all of the protoss tools. GML players and higher are not.

Oh sweet summer child!
Actually think for a bit before saying things like this lol, if protoss is OP, the guy playing protoss would be higher mmr, and thus be matched against others. The fact that they are still at this mmr to fight against your gigantic sample of 2 players is just coincidence in that those two players specifically sucks against protoss.
Mechanics are far harder for Terran than for Protoss.
Toss has a strange skill curve.
GM ladders/tournaments are flooded with toss players. but at the top there are only a few.
Well, yes…
Alex007 gave an example of that: Zealot is the same unit in the hands of Diamond player and in the hands of Showtime, while Marines are completely different units in the hands of players of different skill levels.
And its not just Zealots - most of Protoss units are skill-independent like them.
Thus, people at the top of skill can’t squeeze so much from their units as top Terran players - there is simply nothing to squeeze.
I wouldn’t completely agree. Low skill protoss always lose zealots on mines and banelings. Pro players are able to split or send one at a time, so zealots survive much better in their hands.
