What makes you think they signed NDA? I haven’t signed one ever in my life, despite working for much more serious organization than Blizzard.
I did signed under condition at my current job that I’m not allowed to disclose my real place of work nor work I do nor even hint at it or at my name in any online discussion. And I’m not doing anything hush-hush, I’m just one of many bricks in corporate wall made of software engineers. Pretty funny, huh?
For all statik geometry we made scene exporter to generate “beyond-the-mirror world” - generate geometry that is visible in the mirror on actual scene and make in rendered/not rendered based on what camera sees.
For actual dynamic geometry - yes - you need to do a second render. Since its VERY expensive such second renders are done very simplified - or in a very special set-up with as little stuff to render as possible - or even there is a copy of animated object behind the mirror (for a character - its pretty much always the copy of a character).
But this is all rapidly moving toward being obsolete: we are entering world of real time ray tracing. A lot of specific math done by render development about rays behavior and very little for their library users.
I don’t think you are being truthful because that would be highly unusual. I never met a programmer who hasn’t signed an NDA. They are industry standard in fact they are pretty much essential to the industry since programming is much more dependent on them than any other industry. A programmer can carry your property, which you payed him to develop, out of your building stored in his mind. NDA’s are absolutely essential.
NDA’s are not essential and primarily for marketing. The only time that I had to sign one was for a job interview at a triple A title at Sony.
The algorithms you talk about are easily reproducible, mostly openly published and almost never enforceable by NDA’s. Code in general is not enforceable by patents since it is very difficult for anybody to compare two pieces of code that solves the exact same problem. The code doesn’t look the same at all.
NDA’s are mostly nonsense in the programming world and only applicable for marketing campaigns(like Marvel does it).
Kid I have developed statistical monte carlo simulations of tournaments that have predicted the outcome of matches with 100% accuracy and posted the source code for it.
So, pointing out that your attacks are baseless and wrong equals “stroking myself”? No. That’s not how it works.
I’ve been a programmer for almost 2 decades. I have never worked on a project that didn’t require an NDA. I have never met another programmer who has ever worked on a project without signing an NDA. Pointing this out is not “stroking myself” - it’s called “contributing useful information to the conversation”.
Imagine being so mad about a debate about NDA requirements in the software engineering field that you feel the need to behave as you do here. Hopefully you get to enjoy a moment or two cringing in the future when you remember this moment.
I am sure somebody will quote it, I can’t be bothered. But hey keep up the good work!
The fact that you think this is:
is programming is already indicating that you don’t know wtf you are talking about. You can do that stuff in excell.
And here you go:
What is also interesting is that you resorted to ‘you can’t prove it’ instead of ‘I didn’t say it’. I guess that delusional world is working out quite well for you.
It is factually, objectively, and verifiably true. Stop kidding yourself. You are not a programmer. You do not know what Monte Carlo simulations are. You don’t know basic statistics or mathematics. I and many others have dismantled every single one of your points over and over again. Even if I shoved all of our discussions in your face you would deny it. You are not fooling anyone either - we all know you are BatZ because of how delusional you act. And I’ll say it again - please seek medical help. I don’t know exactly what this thread is about, but scrolling up a little I can tell you are full of horse waste again.
Edit: word for word on what is going on and words that you have spoken on this very account you are currently using below
Supporting a comment made by another crazy person - linked above by the other guy.
Look, I am not going to dig up every post that dismantles every one of yours on your old accounts. You and I both know that I and many others have proven just about everything you say is absolutely insane. The difference is you shut off your ears and take a bottle of Xanax to knock yourself out and forget all the pain and suffering that you go through when you realize how wrong you are. It’s clear that it’s in your nature to cry and lash out at whoever proves you wrong.
Kid I posted the code and the predictions from a tournament simulation before the last code s, and it predicted every advancement. It is simply a fact. Stop lying.
It is simply a fact that when the evidence is shoved in front of your face again, you continue to deny it. Proven once again - and the more you speak, the deeper the hole gets
Historically Blizzard was an RTS studio. That was what they did most of the time. These days they lost their identity. I expect that they start to make mobile games based on their SC and WC lore. That’s of course ignoring all their old-school PC fans, but they will probably follow the money and trends. The worst case scenario is that they become some kind of “mobile Nintendo”: every game looking like WoW/Disney and “family-friendly” casual crap around every corner.
