There is already a thread about Kernel panic on MacOS 10.15 and 10.15.1 (Radeon cards). Was affected too (2019 27” iMac with Vega 48 8GB).

A temporary solution is to switch render API to OpenGL in Graphics settings. Alternatively, setting shaders to Medium (while still using Metal API) might also help.

The main thread: SC2 Crashing on MacOS Catalina with Radeon Graphics - #36 by SpeedyRogue-178640

Seeing that I’m using a 2017 iMac Pro and a 16GB Vega 64 card, i thought that would be different hence the thread. I understand that it’s part of the Radeon family of GPU’s etc. I love Blizzard and really hope you guys get a handle on Metal and the supporting hardware. Not seeing Overwatch on the Mac but seeing it on the Nintendo Switch doesn’t bode well for the loyal Mac community.

This is an incredibly common issue that began with Catalina and affects games and other graphics intensive processes, please see this thread about the issue: forums dot macrumors dot com/threads/constant-kernel-panics-userspace-watchdog-timeout-no-successful-checkins-from-com-apple-windowserver.2222878/

It is still not fixed with 10.15.3, or 10.15.4 beta.
