So a normal Battlecruiser is 300 feet long made of “Neo-steel” which is like 50 times the durability of ordinary steel (likely some carbon allotrop, who knows). The ship contains a nuclear blast and shapes it into a directed energy weapon capable of destroying an enemy base, but the interestin gthing is Battlecruisers durability is so high they can even soak other Battlecruiser’s yamato gun.
The Hyperion is a Flagship, like the Protoss Gantrithor. Not sure what its dimensions are, but the point is if a yamato gun can’t destroy the 300 foot long Battlecuriser, then small arms and phasers won’t destroy it either.
The Federation knows how to make nuclear weapons and anti-matter torpedoes, but Tri-Cobalt and Anti-Matter are banned by the Federation, so Picard would not use an antimatter weapon. Th anks to Janeway, the Federation has “Trans-phasic Torpedoes” which can bypass metaphasic shielding, but still not going to destroy a Terran battlecruiser. On the other hand, a yamato blast would destroy even the Enterprise E, IMO.
The Terrans in Starcraft know how to make “thousand Gigaton” nuclear warheads. Teh Yamato blast is about 1 kiloton, similar to what the Ghosts call down to destroy a cannon wall or whatever.
