There certainly are possibilities for a SC3 with the original cast thats left from the Void War. Alarak certainly seems to be a gluten for punishment the way he showed up in Nova’s story and wrecked the town. Alarak I can see being a worthy opponent for the gang to fight off. Also, I don’t believe that Nerude was destroyed from the Void either. The Confederacy from Brood War is also a possible villain thats had much time to rebuild and make a comeback since Raynor clapped them cheeks. I doubt that a “new” species would be very likely though. I fear that due to Karrigan being Xelnaga now, her and Jim Raynor are more than likely retired and done for. They went off together to live happily ever after. I feel like it would be much more enjoyable now for Matt Horner to take the reigns. Theres a love story there with Mira Han as well. Ultimately , I can see Samir Duran making a return, traveling the Universe trying to revive Dr. Nerude.
All of this would entail that Blizzard moves forward on a new SC. It is unfortunate that people are finding out about this game so late in the game. I truly enjoy the escape from the modern day First person shooters that seem to be filled with sweats and hackers. Starcraft was always like playing the part in an epic Sci-Fi movie. Better advertising and marketing should be put forward because I know tons of people that play Ages of Empire and what-not, while this game always brings the war part of the game to life unlike AOE. I pray every day, while I play this game that they shall one day bless us with another SC.
