24 down. I honestly hadn’t realised I had done this many esp since I usually play like 1-2 games a day and that even on alternate days.
kerri 3
zag 3
kara 3
abby 2
ala 3
nova 3
tyc 3
stet 2
vora 2
Novas was probably the most boring of the lot for me, by the time I got to p3 I didn’t even feel like playing her. Tychus P3 was also boring AF.
Zagara was probably the only one that was fun throughout as each prestige brings about a completely different playstyle and the perks are unlocked from the start in most cases.
I have all prestiges for:
Kerrigan, Zagara, Abathur, Stukov, Dehaka, Han & Horner, Tychus, Zeratul, Mengsk.
Two prestiges done for:
Karax, Alarak, Nova, Stettmann.
One prestige for:
Raynor, Artanis, Swann, Vorazun, Fenix.
So that makes 40 out of 54. Currently doing withering siphon for Vorazun.
Currently on #23, but significantly losing motivation. I’ll definitely finish this one, but by the end of it I’ll have to decide whether I want to subject myself to more grind or just give it a break for a while.
But anyway, I’ve done all of Dehaka’s and Stukov’s, and one of Artanis and Raynor and Zagara. The rest seem pretty uninteresting to me. I want to give Karax a go, but Karax has a bad rep in the co-op community.
I’ve been doing multiple ones at once and that seems to really help with the grindiness (I usually only play one game of a commander before switching to another)
If you’re able to, that sounds fine, but I am old and bad and can barely remember how to play one commander at a time. If I switch around I’m sure I’d just spend every game failing to remember build orders and tech trees while losing, unless I dropped the difficulty level from brutal, which would just draw the grind out even further.
I am (almost) in the same case. Did you let the commanders you were least fan of at the end like me? I still have to do P3 for Swann, Arty, Abathur, H&H (this one will be cool, played P2) and P2 P3 left on Mengsk.
I’ve just played a couple of games with a Karax P2 ally and it was awesome. I was Swann so he was healing all my units like crazy, speeding up my production and had a chargelot wall in front of my units. He must have done plenty of other things as well since he killed as many units as I did both games (a dozen more actually but still 50%)
It is a shame his healing beam only affects mechanical units so zergs commander’s (except Stetman and Stukov) don’t benefit as much from him.
P1 pulls into the silly tower defence strategy that only works on a handful of maps, so I’m willing to bet for the most part it appeals to people who aren’t as strong in the game.
At the same time, as P2 gets rid of his static all together, I’d bet it would push away the tower defence folk and appeal to the more experienced players. (Which even for a game this old, there seems to be more newer players than long term ones. At least in coop)
If you like him, give him a try, in good hands he’s a beast these days. And if you’ve got the time, it takes a bit of work to get to his P2 but it really does make him much stronger.
