I mean the basic problem which blizzard does recognize is that you cannot get to the late game on the same footing as the zerg. You just cannot hurt the zerg economy as a protoss player unless you go glaives or do some other fancy all in. You can only at best delay it. Stargates are dead, archon drops are dead, the threat of a chargelot all in is dead, double stargate phoenix is dead. It’s basically glaives or the protoss loses. Zergs know this. What is a protoss player supposed to do? Mass void rays?
Late game isn’t a major problem. Its surviving to late game on an equal footing and you can’t in the current meta with equally skilled players.

It is what it is I guess. I don’t even know how Protoss players even continue to stay afloat. If they do win anything, its tiny tournaments that don’t mean anything. Its hardly even profitable for them to even continue playing.

In 2017, out of 17 major tournaments protoss players won 7.
In 2018, out of 15 major tournaments, protoss players won 2.
In 2019, out of 17 major tournaments, protoss players won 3
In 2020, out of 8 so far, protoss won 1 (neeb won DH america playing against NA ladder folk). Protoss is on pace to win maybe 2 tournaments this year.
It’s 2020 people. At some point with these statistics and these sample sizes, you have to stop blaming the players. Something is clearly wrong with protoss right now in high level play. At some point, you have to stop blaming the players.

probably the only Protoss player who is making money is Parting, since he has some GSL results and has a ‘‘big’’ (considering sc2 state) following on twich, didn’t he said that his income was around 30k/month?. Rest of the protoss, I don’t know if they make money, they must have side jobs or something since most of the top protoss does not stream or have active YT channels (excep Harstem).

Terran has won like 8.

Keep in mind he has around 2k subs,ads money, donations,tournament money and if the team gives him some salary…it’s not hard to think he makes money, but not sure if 30k as he said ,and maybe he has another source of income.
ZvT looks really competitive and fine by me but ZvP looks like Z>>>>>P. There are loads of issues in the matchup. First its boring its either the Protoss gets a timing attack and the game ends or the Zerg just crushes the Protoss. I’ve said this and I’ll say this for a long time the design of PvZ favors Zerg. From the early game midgame, lategame. It feels like Protoss lacks options against the Zerg and especially when Macro toss was nerfed in the form of charge removal, upgrade nerfs, mothership core removal, immortal cost nerf, prism nerf. Like stuff like rogue vs Stats in game 5 will never happen in 2017 if the mothership core was there.
Another idiot that judges by number of wins and GSL only to skip ALL the Z wins on other major tourneys. Also o are wrong ROFL so you say since 2016 Zerg only won 3 times I can list 3 just in past 12 months! Yes even in GSL. OH I SEE for you LotV starts from then COOL STORY

Considering the current game is balanced around LotV design, yeah thats what i would consider. and yeah like i said, Code S, i’m not counting supers or vs the world tourneys because those are short, quick tourneys that don’t hold a candle to GSL Code S, the absolute highest skill tournament there is.

GSL code S is used as highest tournament by GSL fanboys only to cherry pick statistics that suit them.

nope, wasn’t tehbatz who told me that. i was told that by a bunch of different people, but never batz. funnily enough, most of them were terran and protoss players though.
