I just had said we have plenty of unused Tal’darim units.
Variety exists plus things can be twisted by a little bit of effort and reimagination brother.
Btw [Hoping someone to convince me rather than just argue] I would have issues when I have to let a Protoss Female who simply just got a**-kicked by Raynor and become a plot device during the major story to lead my forces.

This is by far the most common criticism I’ve heard about introducing Selendis as a Commander. I agree that her role in the story was underwhelming, and if you ask me her potential was completely thrown out the window in LotV. That being said, Co-op would be a great opportunity to give her a second chance to have a better identity than what she was given in the campaigns. Keep in mind that the Stetmann we have in Co-op is almost completely defined by how he’s been portrayed in Co-op, rather than how he was in Wings of Liberty.
Selendis isn’t incompetent, she’s just never had an opportunity to show any competence in the story since all of her appearances in Wings of Liberty were in scenarios where she had to lose, and almost all of her appearances in Legacy of the Void were under Amon’s control.
(Mind you, according to the campaigns, Ji’nara has a similarly pathetic track record, having been beaten by the same small covert ops team three times in a row.)
Still, not an argument.
Some people might accept Stetmann based on what story arc and character progression the coop team gave to him so far. But for me, the reason why I can have no problem with Stetmann but not Selendis is what they’ve contributed during the story.
Stetmann provides research for Raynor’s Raiders and he even has one shot from the “Belly of the Bast”. While Selendis just…
That being said, Selendis really has to show her worth before the release as commander, either by a new comic or even a new campaign which has she presented herself.
As I’ve said before, I want to have Selendis as commander and thus will just willingly accept what Blizzard has to/ will offer. So that will not be an issue for me if is from Blizzard.
I do want to say the reimagination of Stetmann from coop doesn’t change much of how the character is though.
(And you don’t need to mind me how pathetic the current version of Ji’nara she is. As it can actually be used to develop a playstyle for her. While utilizing the same with Selendis would just simply become some sort of justification.)
