Loaded up a replay to check, seems they don’t get attack or armour upgrades, but they do gain shields.
Tyrannozor does rematch against Vile Roach with P1 Dehaka’s buff.
It now have
Armored: Gain 30% bonus damage against armored units
Massive: Gain +3 armor and reflect damage (10 per hit) at attackers
Mechanical: Gain 30% attack speed
Psionic: Explode with Psionic Energy (200% Weapon Damage within a radius of 3) and abilities cooldown become 50% faster.

I’m thinking of doing this first before I move on to the Air unit tournament.
Vile Roach vs Hybrid Behemoth, Hybrid Dominator, Brutalisk, Kaldalis P2, Talis, Warbringer, Taldarin, P1 Full powered Vanguard, P1 Full powered Wrathwalker, (is there other heroic units? (not the heroes themselves))

Finishing off. Vile Roach can slow enemies by 75% but it only yields 20% against heroic units.
