Bio players are actually horrible. TvT can be reduced to pure 100% luck by just sitting there with tanks and dropping stuff.
Just beat a guy despite forgetting my armor upgrades and having +1 armor at 30 minutes.
Why?
The answer is extremely obvious. He thinks he’s good for playing bio, suiciding in units, being as annoying as possible, and relying on luck. I literally lost my entire 8 minute 40 second army after not realizing I needed to be sieged because I thought he had nothing and was just awful at macro, or just had maybe some irrelevant amount of army at his natural. Instead he was massing stim marines and killed my everything.
I somehow held on by building 2 liberators.
If I was playing pure ground mech vs bio, it would have been the most NPC-ish auto loss, but he didn’t bother building vikings of his own despite having 3 starports, because he engaged “oh he has vikings” mode.
There is literally no skill in beating pure ground mech in TvT. It’s the easiest thing imaginable and takes nothing. It’s beyond me how someone can design a game so poorly balanced that a style, no matter how well executed, will JUST LOSE to bio. Especially mass tank bio, no wonder that guy lost.
When you just make a high number of tanks and run in and be annoying, you’re learning nothing, there’s no improvement, there’s no growth at all, there’s no intelligence being used.
If you suicide-in units TvT, extremely likely, you deserve diamond.
What’s with the infestation of people just going tank-heavy liberator bio?
And there’s literally no counterplay to it, we all know the thor loses to high numbers of broodlords too because it’s not capable of stacking the way air units are, and is a much larger unit. So it can’t beat liberators.
All you need is one thing that gives you tempo and then the opponent tries to counter attack… but oops, you’re just sitting there with tanks, which beat every other terran unit on the ground if sieged.
Literally 0 skill.
A high masters bio player is somehow less skilled than diamonds. He never had to improve to actually get that MMR. All he had to do is do the most cancerous next thing on his mind.
A protoss actually has to adopt the abusive ladder playstyle instead of the extremely weak tournament style that protosses play (and still beat clem 3-0 just FYI).
Every style should be viable. Obviously not extremely obscure styles but still, making it literally impossible to win with ground mech is absurd. A literal chimp could beat me by just playing tank + lib with range bio.
I’ve said this before, but, stop playing cancerous and start getting some skill.
