Been a while, how are things?

Not as much as they were after the Queen AA nerf which allowed banshees and drops to be more competitive(and cheaper) options.

TvP Mech could use some small changes that would make it better vs Protoss and not stronger vs Zerg or Terran Bio.

TvT BC transitions are still a thing.

Banshees aren’t even made as an alternative to pressuring the drones. It’s made as a metagame to counter and dissuade roach timings. Hellion drops are a gimmick and it’s funnily enough liberators, the unit you didn’t mention that sees the most consistent use as the first unit from the starport in TvZ.

In very niche cases they are, but for the most part they aren’t. The 3 starport raven transition is too strong against BCs and they’ve almost completely fallen out of the meta.

They always have been. Distract with the banshee or hellions, kill drones with the hellions or banshees respectively.

But not hellion runby’s.

You know what also can work well?. Ravens to disable the Queens(they are psionic).

Ghosts.

Zerg still OP. DukeNukem sometimes still there somewhere around. Nothing really changed.

You’re just demonstrating a fundamental misunderstanding of how the game is played. No one goes into a game thinking “I’m going to win by killing so many drones with my banshees.” They think, “I need to rotate this build order into my overall strategy so that my opponent can’t just go roaches every game and kill me.” The reason they’ll opt for banshee hellion over marine tank is because unlike marine tank, hellion banshee has some utility against non roach openers and that utility is in forcing out zerglings, denying creep and killing a borderline insignificant number of drones.

They’re less gimmicky I guess. It needs to happen occasionally to keep the Zerg player honest with his drone production. You’re not hoping the Zerg player just isn’t expecting a hellion drop.

You’re an idiot. I’m done with you.

Technically they do, damaging the Zerg eco early on or by forcing more larva is very important.

Have you never played late-late game TvT?. Ghosts everywhere for nuking.

I said went out of style of the meta as a whole, it still occurs from time to time

Isn’t it funny how you just totally ignore everyone who constantly corrects you on the stupid things you say?

It’s almost like you don’t understand this game or something!

Hmmm I’m getting deja vu… When have I said this before… oh that’s right, to CryOhWhine, king of the plat whiners.

How is it stupid to say BC rushes in TvZ are less popular than how they were before?.

Scroll up  are you a goldfish?

We were talking about how no one uses the BC in the lategame (which is what you thought would happen when blizzard implemented the buffs you suggested) and instead it’s used as a harass opener (which is what I and many other people thought would happen, and has happened).

You can use the BC in the late game and some people do. But the reason why it suffers is because it’s too slow moving to get in range or to run away. TJ is a design bandaid to fix that.

TJ could be removed in exchange for a movement speed buff.

You can also use mass sentries in the late game if youre far enough ahead, and im sure there are people who do. But for practical purposes, late game BCs are a meme build.

Please link some current pro level games where BCs are used in the lategame lol. You have zero credibility, ‘some people do’ is not evidence of your claim and you’re the only one who thinks it’s true.

How much late game TvZ, TvT and TvP related to Mech are you willing to watch?.

BC’s do get used in the late game, but by the time the late game comes around the other races have counters that tend to outnumber the BC’s which lack both range and speed to fight or flee.

Fair point.

A single game in each series. It’s such a joke how rare this is.
