What does “Defense matrix” on BC bring to the table?
I can already see it as a dmg sponge as the shield coming from defense matrix is really strong. It also noted that you can build more than one BC.
I think this change would make BC even stronger even with nerfed/removed teleport. There is literally nothing that can kill them.
This would give Terran an unbeatable air death ball.
A lot of campaign stuffs were designed to be broken to give the player a feel of power. Defense Matrix is one of them. So yea… no.

The BC is fine. Learn to scout.
No race should really have a problem with BC openers.
Could make the jump away vulnerability last a bit longer but even without it the unit is fine as it is. If anything I’d like to see a late game BC buff so more terrans would add BCs to their armies late game. Maybe nerf emp and libs a bit and add 100 HP to BCs or something. The Terran army just doesn’t really change much between tvz and tvp and it’d be nice to have the late game meta change a bit.

Well if you have two completely worthless allies in Versus AI mode a lot of times Battlecruisers are the only thing that can save you from defeat.

not really. Some things only get nerf without compensate.
Think of Burrow Fungel.
from root → slow.
then burrow fungel was reverted.
But the slow stayed.

The biggest problem is that BC shouldn’t be an early game unit with harass potential. Period. Full Stop. Balance it around being a late game unit. If you want to rush it, it should only show up in the mid-game at the earliest.

Its too tanky to be a decent/balanced harass unit, it has a devastating ground attack and can fire while moving (which by itself is a very unbalanced mechanic), can JUMP anywhere on the map with little to no limitations (except a cool down), AND has a giant beam canon special attack that can hit ANY unit for a ton of damage.

What’s its role supposed to be? It has energy, so it technically counts as a caster. It has a lot of health and deals quite a bit of damage with its basic attacks, so it could count as a tanky unit. Heck, it has a ton of effective range so it could even be classified as a siege unit (in some ways).

honestly, I think the BC really needs a big redesign.
