The best thing about average GM games is that the outcome is more uncertain, the level is lower than pro so there is a higher chance of missplays,unorthodox plays and opportunity windows. If the scene finally dies in some years I’m pretty sure the game will enter in an interesting phase with probably not pro level but still interesting games.
