I didn’t play SC 2 then. They must have changed the energy requirement? That was crazy. 6 pylons overcharged at once. Thought most you could do was maybe 4. Been so long…
Pylon overcharge was really good, don’t get me wrong. It probably was even better, overall, maybe. But, dude… I’m always going to be biased. The 1-1-1 was the bane of my existence, and the nexus overcharge completely shut that build down.
It was just so money. It’s like… it had 13 range or something. And it’s not like you can realistically kill a freaking nexus early game… thus you couldn’t attack. Banshee harass? If you even get close to the nexus… you annihilated. It was just so awesome. The only real downside was vs Zerg when making a third base. You had to wait for a nexus to complete, obviously, where as with pylon overcharge… doesn’t take long to make a pylon.
Toss is the coolest race. We get all the coolest band aids. We literally have a unit that can kill entire armies just cause the race is unplayable otherwise. The great equalizer: a unit that can kill everything, by chance, enough times to make win rates seem fair.
I wield that power every game. God envies me. One man shouldn’t have so much power. It’s okay to bow. I don’t use the power gracefully. We were given the best units for a reason. The chosen ones. Aka, if your race gets curb stomped every year for a decade… your race can finally get units with potential, too…
