Meanwhile the forum begins to speculate / criticize / condemn / defend the possibility of having unlockable heroes with a paywall, I cannot help but criticize another aspect of this matter. Or rather, the usual thing: bad communication. I mean: what the hell do the words “free track of the Battle Pass” mean in connection with the (deleted) words that said “in addition, as a Season One Premium Battle Pass owner you will automatically receive access to Overwatch’s latest hero”?
to me frankly it does not seem neither the confirmation nor the denial of a post. it makes us more confused about which content is “free” and which is “in the battlepass”. and where does the name “premium” come from? Has anyone confirmed that that description was deleted because it came out too early or was it the writing mistake of someone who got confused within their company? because you know, I would like to remind you that:
- This is Overwatch “2”. Not an updated 2.0, but a “new concept of sequel”… bah
; - What is restarted is not the update of OW with a precise rhythm, but an “early access”. Does anyone KNOW what the hell features should the early access of a Free2Play other than a beta have? really, I don’t know;
In short, what I mean is that so far the only confirmed news is that the new support hero is called Kiriko, but we have no idea how things work inside this OW2. I personally am pissed that for the umpteenth time we see a demonstration of how developers are adopting a dictionary written in a bunker with no internet rather than learning to make themselves understood with the rest of the world about what it means. the result? unclear developers and very suspicious community. the simple curiosity is dead.
