Okay, im probably goijg to get hate about being a jojo fan, but i was watching stardust crusaders and just finished the episode with zennyata and his brother mondatta and it got me thinking,
is both the omnics, zennyata and mondatta from overwatch possibly a refrence to this particular episode of jojo?

I always figured their names were a reference to that.
Eh, maybe? Sorta? On one hand the combination of the two names might be a thing. On the other hand fans of Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure think that everything is a reference to it. A fan on another forum was arguing that elements of Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) were references to Jo Jo. Strange fandom.

Yesnt, both are based off the Zenyatta Mondatta album, the creator of jojo often draws from albums and the like for names of characters stands, and zenyatta and mondatta were named after the same album
jojo have a lot of references and artists have a lot of references in general.
zenyatta and mondatta have some bigger and older reference most peoplea aren’t as aware of.
zenyatta and mondatta are from something completely different from the artists representations of it.
