I faced a similar issue, so tried your method above it didnt work, then i followed this thread https :// us. forums. blizzard com/en/overwatch/t/your-rendering-device-has-been-lost/18 and reset the in game settings (https: // us . battle net/support/en/article/126203) it worked after that, got greeted by winston again
