How does your SR in 222, stack up against your SR in the old system?

Final s17 SR 3051 playing mostly support with a bit of fill mostly to tank.

Lost 4/5 placements on support and got 3063.

Doing dps later today I think…

Edit: Did my dps placements lost 3 won 2 placed 2902. A bit higher than I would’ve expected and had I won the last one I would’ve placed over 3k which would’ve been too high if you ask me.

Old SR (Wild West):

I flexed for most of the season, but I rarely had to flex to dps.

New SR (222):

  • Tank: 2534 (4-1)
  • DPS: ??? (will do it this evening)
  • Supp: 2568 (2-3)

I played really well in my tank games but didn’t see that much of a bump.
My support games were solid but nothing special, still got more sr.
So I guess Blizzard just used the data they got from my past games and used the placement matches to fine tune my role sr a little bit.

Haven’t played any more matches after that so I’m curious how much my sr will change per game. Another interesting point will be to see the sr after placements for season 18. Will they ignore the beta season or will they use the final sr as a base?

New SR (222):

  • Tank: Placed 2218
  • DPS: Placed 2050 (roughly), currently at 1840 thanks to losing 60 SR with every loss regardless of how well I performed.
  • Supp: Haven’t placed yet. Expecting somewhere around Plat.

I’m genuinely pretty pissed off about my DPS rank. I did well in all of the matches I played trying to climb a bit to reach Plat, but I lost most of the matches anyway and lost 60 SR literally every time I lost regardless of my performance. It feels terrible to do so well in a match and know that it doesn’t matter at all because when you lose, you lose so much SR compared to how much you tend to gain…

I went up a bit on both my accounts; both ended S17 at 2850

Old SR (Wild West):
Main / Alt

  • All: 2850 / 2850

New SR (222):
Main / Alt

  • Tank: (3-2) 3005 / (2-3) 2450
  • DPS: (5-0) 2870 / (3-2) 2980
  • Supp: (5-0) 3100 / (2-3) 2540

The alt is where I play DPS the most, which ended higher than the main.
The main account I play support

New Sr-

DPS: 5-0 3563sr

I think I should’ve placed higher with dps, if I had won 5 games in a row last season I would’ve been at ~3640 or something

Old sr around 2600

New sr

Dps 2500ish went 3 loss 2 wins

Heals 2700ish went 2 loss 3 wins

Tank 2700ish aswell and went 2 on 3 again

I feel like it uses the last season sr as starting point even though it shouldnt because everyone has pretty similair ranks
