Just for context, these are Mercy’s perks:
MINOR PERKS
Angelic recovery
- Mercy receives 15 hp/s while Caduceus Staff is attached to a full health ally (both beams work)
Winged Reach
- GA’s range is increased by 30%
- (From 30m base and 60m in Valk to 39m base and 78m in Valk)
MAJOR PERKS
Chain Boost
- Secondary fire links to a second nearby ally
Flash Heal
- Resurrect can be used on Caduceus Staff’s active target to restore 150 hp. Doing so incurs a 15s cooldown.
So everyone, what’s likely gonna be your go-to build for perks?
I think mine will be:
Angelic Recovery and Flash Heal
While Winged Reach is sounds nice I doubt it will prove to be more useful than free self regen as it only buffs GA’s range and nothing else.
No speed buff and no Staff range buff either. So you ideally still have to stay close to your allies anyway, so mid combat self heal provides more value.
Chain Boost sounds decent too but 150 hp instant heal just has more playmaking and decision making potential to it imo.

So to me, most of the perks sound like they were designed in pairs
You’ll be better off if you choose the pair necause it synergizes, but also it will still be map and comp dependent. Like the increased range on GA and the res into 150hp work more clearly together than the boost for 15hp and res into 150hp.
However, if your comp is already playing close together, taking the 15hp and 150hp would probably be the better choice.
So that’s something to consider when picking perks on various characters, which one synergizes with which other one
And for the topic, I do like the 15hp+multi beam combo, sounds fun
While I do get that, I just don’t see the GA range buff being that good because Mercy’s Ga range is already pretty massive
Especially during Valk.
I just wish that they maybe buffed the range a little less but also buffed GA speed a bit or the beam range.
Also, first thing imma test is, if the chain boost can trigger the self heal when the chain beam target is full hp but the main beam target is not.
And then I will test if Valk chain beams can all apply Flash Heal!
I imagine chain beams will count, the two perks look clear to synergize

15hps doesn’t seem like much to me. I can stay alive just fine so I feel like I wouldn’t need it, especially with that extra mobility
Chain boost already happens in Valk, the burst healing looks more appealing to me

I get that.
I choose self regen because Sympathetic Recovery only works while actively healing and leeching off your ally.
It makes that just more consistent imo.
Ideally ofc, you’d need neither because you don’t usually position far from allies anyway and somebody usually takes some damage so you can leech off of them.
But Flash Heals seems to just be objectively better. Period.

If they buffed GA speed, that’s be massive.

I’ll be honest, angelic recovery really should be part of her base kit, it’s debatably one of the weakest minor perks imo. Will make very little difference when push comes to shove.
GA increase is my preferred minor perk. When the experiment with perks was going around, it was one I would pick as I felt it came in clutch when unaware team mates left me to chase a target, and better access to the Rez target.
Chain boost could be decent on certain high damage/bunker type comps, but compared to other Major perks it’s trash. The flash heal is by far the closest thing to a “major perk” on the list, as it helps towards burst healing and keeping tanks up, making her much more versatile and viable pick for support.
With how bad mercy is at the moment, if you implemented these changes into her basic kit, Ana would still be stronger Lmfao

Regardless, I think I might give Winged Reach a try tho.

I think it could be good on some maps (push and flashpoint mostly) with some comps. The other one seems better though. But that’s from my perspective as a player that chase mercy and avoids damaging her pocket so she can’t reg.
All of them looks pretty balanced imo. Depending on maps, enemies and team mates.
This sounds like the only decent perk till you realise its messing with your db muscle memory. Think of how you hold heal down on pharah and ashe and quickly toggle db to boost their bullets
From what I remember when they had traits you could pick from, it always depended on what popped up to pick…That said…
I loved increasing GA range. It just gave me more options for escape and more people I could reach to save.
Chain Boost would be cool for maximizing your output.
Flash Heal if my other support seems to like DPSing more than healing, or my tank is suicidal, or loves deep diving the enemy.

I agree with your chosen combo. That was kinda my first impressions anyways. Not really sure how it’ll play up yet and may differ to the team comps but I would say default would be self heal and burst heal. We will see. I can see how the other options can be beneficial in certain comps. It’s all theory crafting though which is very exciting.
