I played this game for years and i thought this is a good game until season 9 started .
I went to play season 9 placement matches with a group because i was tired of playing solo queue and getting low ranks
so i played all 10 games…
i lost once and won 9 times with gold medals all the time
i though i was gonna get plat but i got silver… yep 9 wins and silver… your system sucks.
and i am just disappointed. i really loved overwatch. and now i hate overwatch because of this…
FIX YOUR RANKING SYSTEM PLEASE

If you don’t deserve silver you will climb, comp system is fine

Seems like your team didn’t synergize well enough. or maybe the enemy teams just outplayed you ¯\ _(ツ) _/¯

i agree i got 6 wins 4 loses and i got 100 sr higher wtf is this

we had teamkills in 8 games and 3 teamkills in one game
my team did pretty awesome

Then don’t play competitive? If you’re really upset about where you placed you’d try to climb. The system is fine, you’re a silver player, who could climb if they wanted to

so. what was your first SR? Because if you won 9 and lost 1 and are still silver, it only means that you were either bronze or silver in the past season .

Your teammates must of carried you because it’s based on individual performance.

Its called “Hidden MMR”; Your previous season/ranks count, its a soft reset not a hard one where you start from 0. On note, sure you won 9 games, but you probably did play against silvers, if you beat silvers does that mean you belong into diamond? No it dosent. The system puts you where you belong in, no matter if you go 0/10 or 10/0 its a soft reset, this placement games do not matter that much, if you had rating previous season/s.

I’m a Platinum player, my brother placed bronze last season and climbed to Plat. Believe me, I know how it feels. I’ve been trying to hit Diamond since season 7

I know wht u mean it unfear I won 8 games and I lost 2 game I got put in bronze last season

the thing is my friends got silver too

Wins and losses don’t Mean you will place higher or lower than you ended last season, but if you truly do not belong in silver, you should climb higher quickly. If you ended near silver last season, it is probably a good idea you stay close to there so you don’t get stomped.
